Wax museum, any show at the bigger casinos, Fremont Street just to people watch and get $1 shrimp cocktails, Spearmint Rhino or Crazy Horse (a personal favorite of mine) or just walk down the strip and look for those guys that are smacking the leaflets against their hands and ask them what's happening....they got the hook ups on discount things to do.

So I just booked a Vegas trip to teach a couple of classes next month. Will be there 3 nights. When I won't be instructing on how to shoot women in lingerie, what should I do? Any places you recommend? I don't gamble, btw.

If you're not much into gambling, I'd recommend craps. You can go bust on blackjack way to quickly. Craps you can be on the table 20-30 minutes, and you may only lose about 40 bucks. You're really not likely to walk away having made a profit, but you won't lose your shirt, either. Also it's very fun, and communal. Everyone on the table is basically on the same team, so you just sip your cocktail, roll dice, and pull for the other people on the table.  Good time.

 

 

Unless you are just betting the pass line the variance in craps is miles above blackjack.

 

Craps is the last game you want to suggest to a beginner.

Try the helicopter ride to the grand canyon.  They fly out of vegas and land on the indian part of the grand canyon.  They fly over Hoover dam on the way.  Pretty cool if you have never flown in a helicopter and obviously the grand canyon is pretty cool anytime.  Most hotels have info on the excusion.
