2014 Winter Olympics aka 2014 Olympics of White Folks: Reporters Being Forced to Live In Disgusting Conditions

Saw something about it on TV, and so I googled it...  Here is the first result:

Amid continued debate over whether or not Sochi is prepared to host the 2014 Olympics, which begins Thursday, reporters from around the world are starting to check into local hotels — to their apparent grief. Some journalists arriving in Sochi are describing appalling conditions in the housing there, where only six of nine media hotels are ready for guests. Hotels are still under construction. Water, if it’s running, isn’t drinkable. One German photographer told the AP over the weekend that his hotel still had stray dogs and construction workers wandering in and out of rooms.

The disarray seems to contradict repeated promises from both Russian and Olympic officials that Sochi is ready for the games, despite terrorist threats, unfinished construction and concerns over human rights abuses in the country. The Sochi Olympics have also run way over budget — to a record $51 billion — which seems particularly remarkable when you consider that some of the work isn’t actually done. International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach has of course denied that, insisting both that the “stage is ready” and that many concerns, including those over safety and construction, are overblown. Meanwhile, Dmitry Chernyshenko, president of Sochi's Olympic organizing committee, had this Twitter exchange with a CNN producer who complained that only one of the network's 11 requested rooms was ready for them:

In any case, the world can decide for itself soon enough. Sochi’s opening ceremony will air Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. ET; the actual events will start the day before.

Hotel Water - reporters told DO NOT put it on their faces, "because it contains something very dangerous."

Hotel reception area, lol...

Some reporters from CNN had the network call and book 11 hotel rooms five-months ago, and yet, they've only been given one room.

Good to see the Olympics can't be bought.

One of the farms I inspected awhile back was run with a dude that was married to this unfugingbelievibly hot chick from Chechoslavakiakicakcaickciaka (sp). I mean, 5, 10 34C, About a size 4 waist. Blond, blue eyes, (**** wnak ****).

So he would tell me the stories from going to visit her family and the things they said and did.

Constantly amazed.

Some Examples:

On one visit her brother was literally beating his wife with a belt. So the farmer asked his wife should he go interven. She starts laughing and says "Who cares, my dumbfug brother is married to some gypse, no one cares if you beat the a gypsie they are trash"

He goes with his brother in law to a local bar. He said imagine the roughest looking rednecks you can imagine, add 40 lbs of muscle under 40 lbs of fat and that is who filled this bar.   They get....wait for it.....vodka straight up in like pint glasses and/or some beer that is basically fermented molasses.  After he is good and toasty, 4 of the meanest looking motherfugers he has ever seen walk up and start arguing with his brother in law. Dude owed them money and was tellign them his the farmer would cover for him. Cost the guy a like 500$ to get out of the place alive.

He and his wife pull up to a railroad crossing with blinking lights. She's driving and stops. They look both ways and can see nothing for at least 10 miles. She doesn't move.   They wait 15 mins and they dont move. Finally he goes..."What are we waiting for?"  She responds" The lights are blinking we can't go"  5 mins later a single car goes by, like a utility car.   She explained that you could be thrown in prison for breaking laws when the area was under communist rule and the people still follow that concept.

and you all know Arsen.

Wierd place over there...I'd love to visit.

The no paper in the toilet thing is common over there.

We hosted a girl from Belarus for a number of years and that was one of the things my wife had to teach her when she came over.  It is standard practice there to wipe and put it in the trash as opposed to the toilet. I guess their systems can't handle it?

That train thing Kurb said is so true... U have to wait for fuging ever for train to come. When I was 9-10 years old we would buy vodka and pot, we would go to some abandoned building and try to get wasted... Of course cops would roll in and take our poo, they would kick us out but would sneak back in just to find these cops drinking our booze and smoking our pot...

We also had a liquor store across from middle school at 12pm on a dot 40 min lunch starts. Everyday u see bunch of 8-12 year old smoking cigarettes and boozing up before going back to class. Our teachers were constantly piss drunk. Me and my friend stole my physics professor shirt and then sold it back to him for $10.

Teachers hall was in the basement, they had pool tables and ping pong tables. Right above them were toilets. My friends threw whole bunch of yeast in toilet and flush it. 12 hours later while teachers had a meeting pipe burst, covering everyone with poo. Teachers got so pissed, they brought pool table and ping pong tables inside classrooms so students could smell the poo.

Oh good old days.
