All im gonna say is James Anderson and Jon Beason had ridiculous contracts also. Im not gonna pretend this isnt a long shot but when you really look at it it would be highway robbery if GMan pulled it off. I mean...if we dumped both Stewart and DeAngelo somehow and replaced with a cheap young stud in the backfield I wouldn't be mad. Carey will probably be a stud. WR in the first though and we still need a FA WR + secondary help.

The trading of Stewart is intriguing. If we traded away Stewarts big contract we could then afford Hardy.

I dont think you understand stewarts contract. Its not that we dont WANT to move him. We CANT move him. It doesnt matter if hes cut or traded, we are the team that still takes an awful cap hit/penalty. Its not like we can just pawn his deal onto some other team. Contracts dont work that way. Unless JStew retires, he CAN NOT be moved
