Going to career fair tomorrow. Suggestions?

Tomorrow I am going to a campus-wide job fair with hundreds of big name companies being present there. I'm a supply chain management student and I'm proactively seeking an internship. For those who work in SCM or in a corporate setting in general and do hiring, do you have any suggestions for me on how to stand out and get an email back/interview? I know how to dress, act, etc. but am looking for pointers on what to say about myself.

Also, are there any logistics or similar companies in Charlotte who are looking for interns? Can't find anything with my job searches other than the firm SCP works for.

Know the company you are talking to. Companies want to see that you want to be a part of their organization and that you fit. They don't want the general "I can do this job for ______ company" mentality. They want to know why you are a fit for them and what you are going to do to make them proud if you receive an internship.

Aside from that, be confident and don't be afraid to stop talking. A big mistake interviewees make is talking excessively. Many interviewers will even sit in silence for a second just to see if you are going to try to fill that silence.

I work in system delivery of supply chain solutions and I think one nuance you may want to emphasize is the ability to leverage systems  to glean and analyze information.I think when possible try to be well rounded.   I don't hire but generally think a lot of the HR folks at these things don't know anything about SCM even if they say they do.

Good luck
