Matt millers mock draft (Bleacher Report)

I still for the life of me don't understand mock drafts before FA, good publicity I suppose? If we get 4 starting T in FA I'm not understanding why we try to find a fifth in the draft. Or if we sign 4 starting WR what benefit is it to us to draft a WR in the first round especially when say we haven't addressed other areas in FA. I guess it gives them something to write about.

With our cap issues we will only be signing stop gaps at those positions most likely. So I dont see it affecting our first couple of rounds.

That's why I think we should get rid of Derek Anderson.  If Cam goes down, Derek's lack of mobility and elusiveness, and with our average to below average o-line will destroy our offense.  We just need to focus strictly on dual threat QB's.

This is a copycat league. Teams will start beefing up their DL and secondary. Asking WRs to finish their route in less than 3s or turning 5 yard dunks into 30 yard with an immobile QB is nonsense. Watching Denver's offense the only way they can upgrade is by adding a dual threat QB to buy an extra 3-4s. WRs can get 60 yards down the field easy in 7s. Those archaic spread offenses with a statue in the backfield won't cut it long term. It's the beginning of the end for that style. They'll win game but won't win super bowls. When they play against each other they will offset but when they face us, SF, Seattle and other with mobile QBs it will be a new reality. This is the first time in our generation we're observing a dual threat QB with a complete, and boy, they're tough to beat. People can talk about Seattle's D all they want but the offense was unstoppable. They didn't punt once. It's the rate of converting 3rd downs that makes dual threat QBs so lethal. I think we get rid of Anderson and hopefully pick up Boyd if he's there in the 6th round. But I have a feeling he won't be there for the reasons I stated.

Wouldn't mind trading out of the first, especially if Ginn is retained, but here is my no-trades, pre-combine Panthers draft.
