Eric Decker Going FA

Yep, this proves it. Eric Decker is better than all those guys. The math proves it, right! Right!

I never said that he was better than all of those guys.  He's not.  Please point out where I said that.

I simply said that one thing to keep in mind is that Gettleman said he wanted TD scorers and Decker does just that at the WR position.  You'll be hard pressed to find a WR with signifcant touches who turns a higher percentage of them into TDs than Decker.

Decker and D. Thomas have the same number of touchdowns the last two seasons, 24. While Thomas has 500 more yards in that time span, they are both undeniable threats in the passing game. I'm not even going to sit here and argue over who is better, both have only been in the league since 2010. You said yourself Welker, and Julius Thomas are used differently, and one plays a different position altogether, so what's your point?

You keep bouncing around from argument to argument, but what I've been saying all along is that Decker is a legitimate threat, and his production speaks to that. If you disagree, that's up to you, but please stop speaking like you know what's on the minds of other coaches in regards to his talents, or game planning for him.

Decker is no where near the talent of DT. DT is matched up against the best CB way more then Decker. He also is able to take a screen, Slant or crossing route for a TD. Decker can't. He way more physical and faster.

I'm sorry but DT is a number 1 WR. We don't know if Decker is.

Now this I agree with.  I'll never argue that Decker is a better talent than DT.

D.Thomas had 13 catches for over 120 yards. He was balling from the start.

The Broncos offense didn't start doing poo until the game was out of reach. Let's not polish a turd here, the whole team from top to bottom stunk the place up last night. No one is exempt.

I'm not seeing where I have argued, or stated that Decker is better than D. Thomas.

I don't know man, DT had a very good game.  Unfortunately for the Broncos, he was the only Denver player you could say that about.

They didn't score until the end of the third quarter, and were down 36 points before the touchdown. I'm sure Demaryius would tell you the same thing, they stunk. One garbage time touchdown doesn't erase the domination they received at the hands of the Seahawks for virtually the entire game.

His performance in the SB doesn't scare you? D.Thomas took his beating and catch 13 balls for over 120 and Peyton seemed to only trust him. That's a guy who take the responsibility as the #1 guy. You gotta show up in those games.

You just don't understand football. You're making that more and more obvious. Just because a guy is your #1 TE for example doesn't mean he's automatically a higher option for your offense than your #2 outside WR. It just doesn't work like that. You're going to tailor your offense to get the ball to your best players, regardless of what position they play.

At first, you were arguing that Decker's numbers were a product of the weapons around him. Now you're arguing that he didn't start putting up numbers until those other options starting going down. Which is it? You can't have it both ways. You're just all over the place.

Point again in that offense they all pose different threats and the stats don't lie Decker came on when JT and Welker had established the threats they can be. After they started getting hurt or got more attention. Decker got going.

They were able to shut down all the weapons besides DT. Plus DT versatility helped him get the ball and run more route combination then Decker.

Not really, no.  The Broncos were down big early and Thomas is the better big play threat.  They needed big plays and they needed them in a hurry.  It makes sense to me that he'd look for Thomas a lot in that situation.  It's highly doubtful that we can afford Decker even if we wanted him.

But I thought he only got those opportunities because of the attention those other guys draw from the defense?  Which is it?
