Eric Decker Going FA

Thomas had injuries in his 1st 2 seasons. poo he came into the draft with a broken foot and still got drafted in the 1st round. It makes me think why did Allen fall so far. He was close to us and we still passed on him

Gettleman was in love with Short.  Short was the guy at the top of his board when we were on the clock in the 2nd.  Short played very well for us and I doubt Gettleman regrets the pick.

What makes him not Alvin Harper, Robert Meacham or Azia Hakeem? The least talented option on a great offense. That when put as a top option on another team fails.

If you honestly think he is the least talented option on his offense, then we don't even need to discuss anything.

Another thing, Decker had 4 TD's against the Chiefs weren't they supposed to be a top Defense? Decker isn't 4 TD good against a top D. I've always seen Decker as pedestrian. I might take Decker over LaFell but not over Nicks.

You have completely lost your mind.

172 catches for 2352 yards and 24 TDs in the last two season is pedestrian?  LOL!

Nicks in the same period?  109 catches for 1588 yards and 3 TDs.  If Decker is pedestrian, then what is Nicks?

Like I said, I'm a UNC fan and I'd be ecstatic if we could bring Nicks home for manageable money, but you've got some serious blinders on if you seriously think that Nicks is head and shoulders better than Decker.  The stats actually suggest the opposite.

Red don't be a condescending dick because you really liked the guy. It's a serious and valid question. He's not better then DT, Wes Welker is a top weapon in the slot, and Thomas is a big fast TE. Out of the four Decker is the least I and most teams worry about.

The question is could he handle being the focal point of a offense or is he best at being a supporting cast member??

Since when do you speak for every team in the league?

That is a valid question, I do not know if he could handle being the focal point, we will find out. It isn't about me "liking" anyone, I've been here disputing this silliness that some have been typing in this thread about him. If you don't "like" him that is up to you. But don't sit there and casually dismiss what he has done the last two seasons like he is a scrub, it is foolish. His numbers do not lie.

Russell Wilson has a ring, Dan Marino doesn't. Whats your point? The pass rush on Brady is what won those 2 rings. And a circus catch.

Actually 2 circus catches. The Manningham catch was just as phenomenal as the Tyree catch.

None of that erases the fact that he is a two time Super Bowl champion. Sorry.

Any DC who considers Decker the 4th receiving opttion to worry about on the Denver offense, then he's probably not long for that job.
