Eric Decker Going FA

Not really, no. The Broncos were down big early and Thomas is the better big play threat. They needed big plays and they needed them in a hurry. It makes sense to me that he'd look for Thomas a lot in that situation. It's highly doubtful that we can afford Decker even if we wanted him.

That's why I don't see him as a number 1 and we need a number 1 WR.

Be interesting to see if New England comes calling. Denver took Welker last year, so its the kinda thing I think Darth Hoodie would look to pull off. Plus Brady is going to have a hissy fit if he doesn't get some receivers.

But they have Danny Amendola...

The Broncos offense didn't start doing poo until the game was out of reach. Let's not polish a turd here, the whole team from top to bottom stunk the place up last night. No one is exempt.

D.Thomas was getting hit but he was making his catches against #1 CB. No one can argue that. He played like a #1 type WR.

Yes exactly. Show the stats from the 1st 6weeks of the season.

I can't even have a conversation with someone who is completely illogical. If Decker wasn't putting up as good of stats in the first six weeks with those guys in the field and his stats improved when they weren't on the field then how in the fug can you argue that those guys' presence was creating opportunities for Decker?

I'm not trying to use your words against your argument but you don't think we need a big play guy? You're pretty much saying Decker would be useless to us in situations in which we need big play. If that's the case then he's not a #1 type WR.

We need WRs period. We have one starting caliber NFL WR and he's going to be 35 next season and would honestly be better suited in the slot at this point in his career. Everyone is so hung up on us needing a #1 WR that they're forgetting that we need a #2 WR as well.

The Broncos, particularly Manning, looked so awful last night, I can't judge Decker based on that game. He's not a number 1, but can be an effective WR2 who puts up WR1 numbers multiple times during the season.  That being said, I believe he is out of our market.

I agree we need a few WR. But how good is a number 2 wr if you don't have a number 1??
