Sad to say it, but...

Mr. Scot

3 times in the playoffs in 3 seasons with Denver and once with The Golden Calf of Bristol. 3-3 record. Super Bowl trip. Conference champions as well as division in 3 out of 3 years. Not exactly the résumé of a "losing" coach. If he can stay healthy and complete 3 more years with Manning, and I find this hard to believe, he could be in the Hall of Fame discussion.

Scoff now, but this game was an aberration.

He has won in the worst Div in football and still cant win a game againts quality teams. Its the same reason he never won back to back with the Panthers. He had to wait till he played lesser talent to win. Fox ball beats bad teams and the AFC is full of them, still he has to face the NFC at some point and when he does he loses. Thats not a great or HOF coach, thats a good coach taking advantage of a weak conference. See Marty Schottenheimer or Norv Turner if you need more examples.

Yet, he wins. It doesn't matter who or where you play, you play the hand your dealt.

Hall of fame? That is beyond absurd. When did the HOF start honoring mediocrity?

the hand your dealt was often an 8-8 average with the Panthers which is less winning and more average.  Which means in a world of all things equal then Fox should have backed into the playoffs at 8-8 in the NFC South more than 3 times in his tenure, which would also have given him back to back winning seasons, and earned him a new long term contract.

But the story doesn't play out that way because Fox has his most obvious flaws..  Fox's legacy is up for anyone's bias, but regardless of bias, this past game looked way too familiar to say anyone is out of line for pointing out what lies at the core of everyone's frustration with the guy.

That exact situation couldn't have been anymore of a smack of reality to Panther fans..  Especially when they all thought he was guaranteed to win a SB and stick it to the Panthers.  But not so fast, Jack...

Best of all time coach for the Panthers, but at some point it was more than obvious it was time to improve past that.

The buffalo bills lost 3 SBs but hey they were winners.

Yeah, and the Vikings have been to four and haven't won. The Patriots went undefeated and lost a game in the final couple of minutes, does this mean they were the second best team on the year? No it means they were they were second best that day. Football is for dumbasses who see a=b=c=d. This is also why the "dream team" never panned out and Dallas is always the definition of "meh". Fox is a winner.

Just because you keep posting something does not make it true. People remember Dallas and NE for there rings not that they were almost good enough. Everyone would even question if Manning was a HOF QB if he didn't at least have one SB win.

People are stupid and believe all sorts of stupid things because of petty fan grudges. There are 11 qbs in the HOF without rings. Not winning a ring doesnt make a player or coach not good.
