Our OC isn't the Broncos, for the guys who don't like Shula at least he's not calling Draw Play,Screen,Draw Play Screen.................then Play Action Draw, Screen Fake Draw.......that dude sucks, that's the definition of a bad OC,and seahawks pretty much ran a offense we would run goes to show were not that far off........

Agree the play calling was bad. I wonder how much of was due to Mannings arm strength/tendency to float passes though. I mean calling crossing route after crossing route when you're getting blown out...wtf was the point

Peyton was punked. The supposed genius who would make all those adjustment at the line flailing his arms around aimlessly got humiliated. There is no room for geniuses in athletic event but I know cancer research can use a few. lol

By all accounts, Manning is one of the most humble guys in the league, and even in glaring defeat shows a ton of grace toward the other team. Is there a particular reason why you revel in his misfortune like you do?

Probably because Peyton wears a suit and a tie and doesn't have any tattoos.  :P

I can't start threads yet, but I'd say that the way we are built is very similar to the Seahawks. In saying that, I think that we have all of the offensive weapons necessary to do exactly what the SeaHawks just did to Denver.

This won't be popular, but if we went all defense again in the draft, I can't say that I would be mad at all. Russell Wilson didn't win them that SuperBowl, the Defense did. We don't need to draft a WR high in the draft, we need to concentrate on continuing to build our already stout defense. Our offense has the weapons to get us to the SuperBowl much like Seattles.

It's a shame that we couldn't get it done this year, but it took Pete Carroll 4 years to get there and win it. With all of the similarities in our team, I think we can replicate that success and win it all next year. Get us some more depth in that secondary and at LBer. If we franchise the Kracken, and somebody wants him, then we'll get compensated and can draft his replacement. Hate to see him go, but we have 2 other huge contracts coming. We should lock up Cam and Luke this offseason, and lock them in long term. Luke has outplayed his rookie contract and it's the right thing to do for the NFL defensive MVP.

I have faith in this staff, and the FO to draft well, and sign the necessary FA's that we'll need to build upon what we did last year. The NFC is built so much stronger than the AFC is. All we have to do is get passed SF and Seattle in my opinion. We're all built very similarly. That's the competition. Kudos to Ron Rivera for building what we have. I'm looking forward very much to next year.

This is a true statement. Watching Manning career proves initial gameplan > in-game adjustments. You can't be a QB and offensive coordinator. Let the coaches gameplan and stick to it

Crazy thing is I never thought of it that way. I have tunnel vision, I only see and care about the plays on the field. Peyton is one of my favorite person in the league. I rooted for him throughout his tenure in Indianapolis. But sometimes you can kind of see the beginning of the end to a once great thing.

I also just don't like when people associate intelligence with athletic events. People act like Peyton figured out a football loophole to making the game easier so even a frail geek can do it. Experience, yes, but let's keep the intelligence thing to scientist/mathematicians who work for the better of mankind. Even monkeys throw some sort of sh*t ball and flail their arms while doing so. Yes, Animal Planet is awesome!

Respectfully, I completely disagree. I think we need to tag Hardy and keep all our Def FA's and we'll have essentially the same defense just with more experience and learning. (we can address secondary in the draft too, just not 1st round, and maybe not even 2nd) The offense with 1 or 2 more receivers (1st and 2nd round picks, or 1 FA and 1st round pick) would increase in points/game by at least 10-14. Our defense was good enough every game last season (except Saints in the dome, and Buffalo) but our offense couldn't pull it off. We need Kelvin Benjamin for our Red Zone O. If we had him against the Niners in the playoffs, we would've won.

I think Peyton sometimes get overzealous and comfortable being around so many great skills player that he want to make poo up as they go so he can get more credits than QBs already get. I'm not sure if people notice but Peyton is a greedy dude. Just let the OC get his once in a while. With all the crap he does at the line and getting all the credits that the OC should be getting Tom and Rodgers are still more successful than him. Just line up and execute that goddamn play like everyone else. Watch him get in a comfort zone in the soft AFC next year again and continue doing the same poo.

I agree with everything u just said. I would like us to concentrate on defense though. Especially after seeing what I saw last night. I do agree that a weapon on offense can also help.

Our entire secondary was the "Legion of Whom." I think with Rivera we'll never need to worry about defense. Of course, we do need upgrades in our secondary, but I think we can do that with FA (CHARLES TILLMAN PLEASE!) and later picks in the draft. One scenario I've been thinking of that would be huge is if we could unload Hardy and our 1st rounder to move up in the 1st and get Clowney. I think that would be the best possible move for us if we could do it. Then we'd have some more cap room to deal with and by the time we'd have to sign Clowney, Luke, Cam, etc. we'd have the cap space to do it. We'd still definitely need to draft a WR in the 2nd and from there on out corner/safety or maybe even o-line. BUT I really really think we need to let LaFell and Hixon go, resign Ginn for returning, and then need to grab 2 WRs through FA and/or draft to compete for #2 and #3 with Ginn, or maybe even #1 with Smitty, let him have some more rest. That would open up the field for Cam, Smitty and it'd open up the run game. I think that's the most essential part. Obviously we've got glaring holes on defense too I just think WR in this draft is the priority. Especially with the depth at the position this particular year.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
