I seriously doubt Elway is communicating with Fox during the game. That being said, each team is supposed to have a replay guy upstairs watching the cast to see if it should be reviewed or not.

Even dumber to go for it in 4th down before the half. He should have taken the 3 and at least neutralized the early safety. He tried to channel his inner RiverBoat Ron, but John Fox is certainly no Chico

As far as the challenge goes, I think it was a god one. It was a bang bang play and Seattle was rushing to the line. If he hadn't challenged and it was ended up being a lateral people would be eating him up

I give partial blame to the officials for not blowing it dead immediately. Gave a sense of ambiguity to an otherwise routine play.

Completely wrong!!!!!

 

The refs did the right thing by not blowing it dead...it was too close of a call.

 

They blow it dead and get it wrong....it can't be challenged or overturned.

 

By letting it play out and not blowing it dead, they allowed for a missed call on the field to be corrected in challenge or review.

 

This is exactly what you want the refs to do.

I credit Pete C. for having his guys rush to the line to try to get the play off. He tricked Fox into wasting one of his timeouts on a play that was obviously called correctly on the field.
