Hardys probably walking....what do we do to fill the void

We're in a hard place with him we really are. He can not only play the DE really well, but he's a big part of our locker room. Seattle just proved defense still wins championships and we were neck to neck with them until the end there

There is a lot of truth to this.  Though I will turn it ever so slightly and ask what did the Super Bowl do to Hardy's market?  Did it turn it up?  If his value is high enough, someone is going to play the draft pick game.  Did it turn it down because the Seattle DEs are value guys?  Then we might be able to negotiate a better deal.  Though after last night, and the rest of the past two years, I think Hardy's value is pretty ridiculous.

Frankly, it's a bitter pill to swallow to let him walk.  On the same side of the coin, he's talking about a "bucket of money."  There's no value there.  So it's really going to come down to what Gettleman can do with Hardy.  I know he's going to make a very strong case to him and Rosenhause about the money versus the success.  If they can't make a deal, then he walks.

As far as filling the Hardy void, that's going to be hard.  He's a real character, a spokesman, and leader on our team.  And he's a crazy talent who's produced at a high level.   Is there another one out there in the college ranks or FA?

You seen how important Michael Bennett was last night. Pressure upfront takes the presure off your corners! Only difference is Seattle actually has comers and safety's if they don't get after the qb, we got Captain Munnerlyn, Josh Thomas and Josh Norman so were fugged! I honestly think losing hardy wouldn't be so bad if we had decent corners and safetys but we don't so losing hardy will look worse than it should do.

Michael Bennett signed a 1yr deal for less than 5M after a 9 sack season with the Bucs. Gettleman has said it time and time again, there are quality guys on the cheap out there, you just have to find those guys.

He got us 5 starters on defense this year for less than 4M combined, i think he knows how to find those guys.

Hopefully he sees what we can do next year with him than him leaving and getting super paid by a bum ass team cause that's what's going to happen

If Hardy walks, I hope we bring in O.T.'s that can keep his ass at bay, the best redemption against him is his no appearances and his sad post game interviews.  I want to keep Hardy, but I feel the same way I did about Peppers, if he doesn't stay, screw him and have fun in Chicago or Miami, those are his likely destinations.

After watching Seattle, we have a by committee that can make up for Hardy, as long as we have some corners that cover and shut their men down in man coverage, we don't need hardy.  Let the lber's play the zones.  Everyone please remove Hardy's balls from suction.

then by your requirements we do need Hardy.

He is going for the money...he is not taking a lesser conract to stay here.

That is the plain and simple truth.
