he plans on retaining his job at free safety next year haha

I doubt that happens. He wasn't even that good before he shredded his Achilles. Of all those bad contracts I think he's the one who can be cut without much of a cap hit.

I get very figgity when players start throwing out dollars signs

He is not 1/4 of the freak Peppers was on top of it and potential could want 100 mil

No fuging way we could even do that.

We have an offense to build

it is the nature of the business. It is no different if something happens to him and the Panthers cut him. It business. Most players don't quit trying when they get paid.We need to offer him what we can, do everything to keep him here and see what happens.

I'll say this....

If I was Greg & my agent laid out 5 contracts, ie...

CAR- 5yr 45mil, 40mil guaranteed

OAK- 6yr 90mil, 72mil guaranteed

CLE- 5yr 65mil, 55mil guaranteed

JAX- 6yr 110mil, 90mil guaranteed

...I would run to the airport & buy the first plane ticket available from Charlotte to Jacksonville.

Who gives a poo about winning. If the difference was minimal, sure I'd stay here & play on a good team. But with the amount he'll make elsewhere the hell with that.

If you work for the best accounting firm in your area & you make $150k per year would you turn down an offer from an inferior competitor who offers you $250k per year? (benefits, job security, etc being equal)

I'll never get mad at any athlete who chases the money, & people who do are retarded.

I have no problem with folks being nervous about how this is going to turn out. I just have a big problem when folks quantify their rants with "Fug Him". Who does that?

We will do everything in our power to keep him. It is up to him on where he plays next year. If he is here, Great. If it is elsewhere, so be it. But I will not disrespect him if he is not here. He gave us everything he had. I can respect that.

Too many folks taking this personally. The guy has a right to do what he feels is best. Wishing bad for him is just bad form, and the Panther family does not play that game.

Are those teams 4-3 or 3-4 teams? I seriously doubt we see hardy go to a 3-4 team

I think everybody knows by now Hardy wants to get paid and I hope we are able to keep him but I wish he would stop talking about his every interview Its pretty tiresome and I think it makes him look bad. He's a great player and of course players he want to get compensated but he doesn't have sound likes it all about the money.
