The will inevitably get thrown at big receivers like Evans or Benjamin is their lack of speed...but as the charts show, those two actually are pretty good downfield (especially Benjamin), hopefully one drops to #28 due to a "slow" 40 time (maybe Benjamin?, Robinson will probably be there).

Unless of course you're Dwayne Jarrett or Mike Williams, and you're both slow as hell and just don't care.

If the majority of your catches are downfield you are apt to drop more than constantly catching short screens and in-routes.  So the drop pecentage for Benjamin doesn't bother me.  What does bother me is the Watkins doesn't seem to be a deep-threat according to these statistics (not that we'd get him anyway inthedraft). Just lookign at the OP I would have to go with Benjamin if I never saw any of these guys play a single down and had to go soley off the stats.

Watkins not a deep threat?  Don't be so daft.

Clemson OL had much to do with this.  Boyd had little time, but Boyd to Watson Deep was like a pinball machine when it was rolling.  The man is every bit a 1st round WR.

I'm not daft.  Just looking at the satistics as they compare to the others.  The majority of his yards are after the catch.  Most of his catches are less than 10yards. What other conclusion is to be made? I don't drink the Clemson kool-aid so my opinion is totally objective. Notice I never said he wasn't good or not worth being the 1st WR taken.

I may get questioned for saying this but Benjamin still needs work. I think Mathews would be a bigger contributor in our offense. I mean dude is 6 3 and 205 pounds. Most corners just aren't that big. Mathews would win most one-on-ones. I know Benjamin is 6-5 and would be a big match up problem but route running and work ethic are underrated in the NFL.

Plus Mathews, in my opinion has better hands.
