Are we not beyond the whole black QB thing yet? Good lord. I think it is well established that a brother can play QB in this league. These guys have to get so tired of answering that same stupid question over and over and over.

Guest Dark Knight

I have a friend who is a Panthers fan but he's stuck living in the bay area and he explained to me Colin's press conference attire and why he wears what he does. Apparently Colin met a young guy (18-20ish) at training camp last summer who is trying to start his own clothing line and he offered Colin some free clothes to help spread his name. He's a kid who grew up in the projects and is trying to get away from that lifestyle by starting his own business. Colin started wearing his clothes at press conferences to support him.

Do I still think Colin is a douche? Yep. I still can't stand that smug dude. There are plenty of things he does that deserve the criticism it gets but I don't think his dress attire should be one of them. That's a pretty cool thing he does for that kid.

I think that idea should never have existed from the beginning. The trolling of an entire race stating that they couldn't play a specific position when it was very obvious that it's because they chose not to play it was rather malicious and it's hard to ask some people to just move on. How does a race that make up 70-75% of a sport still needed to prove themselves is beyond me. It's not a matter of black people now proved they can play QB. No, it's not about that. It's more like a lot of people felt disrespected by that notion. So you can expect topic like this to keep popping up until the point where the number of black and white QBs in the league are equivocal(like the TE position). And this is all because somebody(the media?) at some point decided to make something as stupid matter. There are certain high profile positions on the field that are strictly played by black people but that doesn't matter because nobody used that to fringe on people's dignity in the past so it doesn't matter. That move on attitude is unfair because there are still so many people living today who went through those denigration either direct or indirectly. Football is over 100 years old and people went through that black QB stigma for almost as long, you can't just expect people to just get over it. Remember generation X is still very young.

Sounds more like a perfect way from him to use that as an excuse to not wear suits he doesnt want to wear. How many people do you think we're begging him to wear their cloths?

edit: and as far as the other thought goes in this thread. . . black QB's are still an issue because there still IDIOTS who think it is. . simple.

there will always be idiots, isnt that nice? I know, lets all go skipping now.

They ask everyone else about his post-game dress except him, they should ask Colin himself so he can name drop that kid and his clothing line...no one knows who made what unless the question is asked in regards to his clothing

That doesn't sound credible. Wearing some dudes t-shirt once doesn't really hold weight....

Starts with Carroll. Most teams have a road dress code. Seattle doesn't appear to
