WR Prospects: Who do you like?

I don't think Landry is far behind from Beckham though.  He actually matched better against Verrett this past season whereas JV put up a good fight against Beckham in the TCU-LSU game.  Beckham still played darn well though.

Interested in a bump to see if any minds have changed or what people are thinking as the combine approaches.  

 

I'm still leaning towards Beckham but Robinson and Adams are close running in my book.

Might be a lot of hurt fans just like last year when we don't pick up a receiver in the first.  Unless a top 10 guy really falls, Gettleman said in a recent article that it is hard to find a receiver who can contribute right away.  He said a few guys this past year did but they are actually in the minority if you look at everyone who gets drafted in the first 2 rounds over the past several years.  If we are looking for a starter who can replace Smitty this year, it won't b a draft pick.  If we are looking for a starter who can replace Smitty in 2 or 3 years then that player might be find anywhere in the first 4 rounds not necessarily in the first or second.  Given that it is easier to find a lineman or even a corner who can come in and start like White last year, I really think that Gettleman won't be looking for a WR in the first.  I suspect he will pick up a guy or two in free agency.  As he said, you don't draft for need.  The best way to do it to find need players in FA so you are able to pick up the BPA regardless of need. That is exactly what we did with Luke when we thought our linebackers were set with Beason coming back.  We all saw how that worked out.

He has already said that you don't find your needs in the draft or you end up reaching. You find your needs in free agency and draft BPA regardless of position. He will add weapons he just won't wait until the draft to start.  What weapons we add depends on who ends up being available.

It depends on the draft actually, and how it all shakes out.  I got my eyes on Brandon Coleman and Martavis Bryant in the mid rounds though. Really warming up to Cooks, though,

Yep, sorta.  He could very well be there but with how much Lee, Benjamin, Evans, and Watkins are discussed, I was interested in seeing the favorite amongst the rest.

Neither Fua or McClain were drafted by Gettleman.  He told us what he was going to do and that was draft BPA by filling holes of need in free agency.  I am waiting to see. With no money for FA last year we drafted for need in the first and second.  This time around I expect us to be bigger players in free agency,

The more I tape I see of Landry the more I think he would be the best as far as coming in and playing day 1 which is what we need with our cap situation. Great concentration and hands can't be taught. I especially like the catches on imperfect throws and that any sideline catches he got both feet down, Cam needs someone that can bail him out some times. Landry has some Chris Carter-esque hands.

Again not a consensus top 4, just the top-4 consistently talked about that would likely distort the poll.  I wanna know about the rest of the field from our fanbase.
