Bobcats to Be Buyers at the Trade Deadline

You have a big expiring contract and some picks with a little risk tied to them.  Your options are:

Option A - Keep the expiring and the picks and hope you do better in free agency and the draft than you would have done in a trade.

Option B - Trade the expiring and certain picks and hope you get more value back as part of the trade than you could have done via free agency and the draft.

We are definitely buyers - we don't need more draft picks and we need to add core pieces to address our weaknesses.

Don't understand the negative reactions here.

Im really starting not to be oppose to winning now. Seriously.

MJ and Cho has shown that they just dont want to tank. I cant control that so I might as well sit back and enjoy the show.

Most importantly as I am taking a closer and harder look at the draft, this draft is pretty damn deep all over the place, not just the top5-7 big names. Late lottery or not, I think that we can still end up with a very good player (Zach LaVine!!!!!!!). Yea, ZACH LAVINE is a BEAST!

Plus Jefferson is just out of control right now. If we can bring in a legitimate player, go head. Just please dont trade the Detroit pick.

Would not be surprise if "GREG MONROE" is the target. He'd be a perfect fit beside Jefferson and Detroit is most likely going to deal him.

I would love to get Evan Turner but I could settle for Pau Gasol. The man is still playing at a high level and in the Playoffs we could really do damage with a fromt court of Jefferson/Gasol.

Saw this last night but couldn't post it from my phone...

But, I almost swung a deal for Shumpert and Carmelo on NBA2k14 last night, lol.  They weren't budging on Melo, saw I pulled the Bucks into the deal to absorb some of the excess salary to swing Shumpert.

Bobcats out:

Gerald Henderson (to NYK)

Ramon Sessions (to MIL)

2015 first round pick (to NYK)

Knicks out:

Shumpert (to CHA)

Andrea Barngani (to MIL)

2015 first round pick (to CHA)

Bucks out:

Illyasova (to NYK)

A man can dream can't he?

And I held onto BG for a possible bigger move down the road.  That contract is gold.

Greg Monroe would be insane.  If they could swing a trade for him or even sign him in the event he hit free agency I think that would be a great pick up.

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
