A little DPOY love from NFL.com

They are boosting Luke up so they can give the defense all the credit when they downplay what Cam does.

I'm not sure Luke is even the best LB on the team yet. Thomas Davis is a monster, too.

I don't think so.  Luke is that good.  Better than Davis, and Davis is very good.  I do not think they even considered Cam in any way when discussion the DPOY.

Luke is the best football player on this football team--hands down.  That is not subjective.  No other player dominates at his position more than Luke Keuchly.  None.

Who decided this was about Davis and Cam?  Focus.

I think the Lukelear Weapon could work on his coverage skills but you're crazy if you don't think he's the leader and heart of the defense.

I love me some TD but Luke is the Cam of the defense. It's just nice to see some national recognition, that's all.

Even if it is Adam Schein, lol.

Some of these posts here aren't worthy of a response.

Luke is deserving of all the praise he is receiving, end of story.

yep, why get all twisted over a stupid post? Never did understand all the attacking that happens on a post that anybody finds stupid. who cares, most likely it is just a post get others riled up.

It is my experience that folks like to call out stupid. I guess it makes them fell better.

Keek, TD, CJ, Kraken, Star, Dwan, and even KK and Cole are all beasts. And Keek is the one responsible for getting them into position to be beasts. When you lead a top flight D, in an ear without a dominant MLB, you are the man. Keek be that man. And more.

Like it or not the MLB position is still the man. Every great 4-3 has had one. Just be thankful we have ours and let the rest take care of itself. Or at least that is how I look at it.

The question becomes. Would our D be this good without Keek? No it wouldn't. It would still be very very good, just not this good.

I would also like to add that in regards to the 4-3 vs. the 3-4, the MLB is the one position that makes a difference. Without that strong presence in the middle you might as well run a 3-4. It is easier to get speedy guys to play the 3-4 than it is to find a field general capable of leading a 4-3.

We do, so we can. And boy do we.

I remember all those bitching about how we took a linebacker at #9. I was one of them. Hows that worked out so far?

Well when you look since 1999 at LB's drafted inside the top 10 there is a reason why.....

Aaron Curry

Vernon Gholston

Aj Hawk

Lavarr Arrington

Brian Urlacher

Chris Claiborne

Keith Rivers

Jerod Mayo

Ernie Sims

Only Urlacher has panned out to be worthy of the draft pick (and yes Mayo is good, but he cant stay healthy somewhat like Dan Morgan). Theres a reason why it was taboo when we did it.
