It's been discussed before, but with word coming out now that he won't be back with the Dolphins, I think it deserves to be discussed again.  Would you want him here?  I say heck yes.  He was the #42 pick less than two years ago and is no dummy, going to Stanford and with Harvard educated parents.  I also think at 24 he should have something to prove with great upside after the whole ordeal and it would be like getting another 2nd round pick for what should be a great deal.  With Martin, Nicks, and maybe Tillman (or similar combo) in FA, GMan could truly feel like Scarface when he saw "The World Is Yours" going into the draft.

Yes, he's the victim in all of this, but how would teammates react to what he did?  Loads of trash talk goes on in a locker room.  How confident would you be in messing with Martin - as teammates normally do - given his history?

 

When this discussion came up before, Martin had an old friend/college teammate on the Panthers roster in Sione Fua.  Fua's gone now.

It doesnt even have to be the vet min. Just pay him what a rookie second rounder would be making. It will be relatively cheap. Martin would love playing for us Gross, Kalil, and the other guys are all nice and fun guys to be around.

Nope. Bullying scandal aside, he wasn't very good. He got demoted once, and had been playing poorly on the other side also.

I don't think that is true at all. Even before the whole grown man bullying thing. He sucked and was on his way to being a draft bust.

If he can't handle what a teammates said to him. How is he going to handle opponents who now have unlimited ammunition to use against him on the field?
