Drafted as the Seahawks just to see how the simulator would pick for the Panthers. Whenever my pick came up I simply selected whoever was listed as best overall.

Panthers Draft:

92 Craig Loston S
124 Pierre Desir CB
156 Tevin Reese WR
188 Calvin Barnett DT
202 Trai Turner G

Seahawks Draft

32 Taylor Lewan OT

128 Andre Williams RB
134 George Uko DE
160 Bruce Ellington WR
192 Mike Davis WR
224 Shamar Stephen DT

Not happy getting pushed out of the acceptable OLmen in each of the first 3 rounds, but I think I could be happy with this draft... Simply cannot pass on Ebron at 28, and I decided to double dip on the WR's given the value...  Hurst in the 4th is nice, IMO...

My draft was pretty damn similar to Verge's, if Gilbert falls to us I think we take him no questions asked. I would be jumping for joy if this actually happened but theres no way some of these picks fall to us.

R1 - CB Justin Gilbert (Oklahoma State)

R2 - WR Jordan Matthews (Vanderbilt)

R3 - OT Jack Mewhort (Ohio State)

R4 - WR Martavis Bryant (Clemson)

R5 - SS Hakeem Smith (Louisville)

R6 - G Michael Schofield (Michigan)

R7 - RB Tim Flanders (Sam Houston State)

Second time around trying this out...desperately wanted to get some offensive linemen earlier but the draft just didn't work out that way. Seastrunk was BPA here and allows us to bite the bullet and dump DeAngelo to improve and get younger at the position.

1. Justin Gilbert CB

2. Austin S-J TE

3. Lache Seastrunk RB

4. Robert Herron WR

5. Hakeem Smith S

6. Jeoffrey Pagan DE

7. Jon Halapio G

This should be interesting.   I like it.  Definitely gives you a feeling of how frustrating it must be.   You see a player on the board you want and he disappears before you can snag him.

Not the same but similar to when I coached little league baseball and the annual draft.

Rd 1.  Zack Martin OT Notre Dame

Rd 2. Bradin Cooks WR Oregon St

Rd 3. Jaylen Watkins CB Florida

Rd 4. James Hurst OT UNC

Rd 5. Shaquille Richardson CB Arizona

Rd 6. Connor Shaw QB USC

Rd 7. Antonio Andrews RB Western Kentucky

That was fun.   I don't know about the latter half of my selections but I would be happy with the top 4.

28:  Justin Gilbert - CB, Oklahoma State

  • Just too good to pass up here.  Would really like an OT or WR here, but can't pass on the #1 CB in the draft at the bottom of the 1st when it's definitely a big need for us.

60:  Jordan Matthews - WR, Vanderbilt

  • This is a guy I wouldn't be upset with at #28, so to snag him at the bottom of the 2nd is awesome.  He's a potential future #1 WR which is IMO our biggest need.

92:  Donte Moncrief - WR, Ole Miss

  • Another big body WR who has very good NFL potential.  Easy to invision him being the long-term answer at the #2 WR spot.

124:  Andre Williams - RB, Boston College

  • Didn't really intend to take a RB here, but the value is too good to pass up.  DeAngelo may be a post-June 1 offseason cut and Stewart can't stay healthy.  RB isn't a huge need at this exact second, but it could be a need coming training camp.  Getting a potential starting RB in the 4th round is just too good to pass on.  Grinding power back would also be a good compliment to Kenyon Barner's speed, assuming he works out.

156:  Shaquille Richardson - CB, Arizona

  • Another double dip.  CB and WR are probably our two shallowest positions.  Makes sense to add another mid-round guy here to add to the mix.  Not sure this is the right one.  Ben Benwikere was kind of who I was thinking here, but this mock had Richardson rated much higher so I rolled with it.

188:  Cornelius Lucas - OT, Kansas State

  • An admitted boom or bust pick here.  He has ideal size and athleticism, so why is he not a sure fire 1st round?  Still, worth the risk here.  I wanted an OT well before now, but none made sense when I was on the clock.  My plan at this point would be to add a mid-level FA to plug in at RT and there would be no plan to play Lucas early.  Let him learn from Gross and hopefully develop.

202:  Marcel Jensen - TE, Fresno State

  • Another guy with ideal size who is also a very good blocker.  Playing time took a beating this year with Fresno State adopting a spread offense.  Seems to fit the mold of what we're looking for in a TE with his blocking abilities.  Surely he could provide more in the passing game than Hartsock.

Lol proof that the theory of BPA isn't completly true. Jerry Richardson would pimp slap Gettleman if his draft fell this way.

Unless Gettleman traded Manziel to a top 10 2nd rd pick plus that teams '15 1st rder.
