First, congrats to Ron.

I was one of his detractors, but he surprised a lot of us with how he grew into the job. I'm really happy for him and feel the organization made the right decision.

Now, as to SuperJ and Way Truth Life...they say you can judge people by their friends. Given that, you two should be best buds.

Rivera is a genius. We honestly don't have elite defensive talent other than Kuechly. Players stepped up for Rivera and the way he ran the defense was spectacular.  Get Cam some weapons and we'll be seeing the two of them in the Super Bowl. I think it's great that they got this out of the way now instead of Rivera having to think about that all offseason and during the season.

We have an elite front....

Our secondary is a joke....regardless of what people think of our slightly improved S play.

Not going to happen this year but that will be part of the growth going forward. Ron did fire the ST coordinator last year and upgrade special teams this year. If we regress he will be expected to fix it.

If anything I hope it teaches JR that, yes, you do have to actually sign some free agents for a team to be successful. You can't expect any coach to come in and turn a bunch of fourth round division II scrubs into all stars.

Dude you know all the fans who came with cam don't know about JR gutting the roster.

...just don't post about it.

Dude shouldn't post. Period. He should do everyone here a favor and take an indefinite leave of absence. Or better still, go register at Saints Report. I think he'd fit in better with those clowns than he ever would here.

Not reading through 8 pages.

I'm pretty "meh" about this.

The cons: Everyone can agree Rivera is a great guy but Rivera the coach I'm still not sold. Rivera only starting gambling on 4th once his job basically depended on it. This team's inability to come out strong after a week off is pathetic. Rivera would have never fired Chud, we were lucky Cleveland hired him. As long as Rivera's here so will Shula unless he gets a HC'ing job.

The pros: he's a players coach who the players seem to respect. His team went 12-4 and won a division championship.

I want to see Rivera want more though. He needs to start holding coaches (Shula) accountable. I'm just worried that we signed up for 4 more years of Shula as well
