Superbowl Idea

I've always thought they should move the Super Bowl to Saturday.

Yeah we need to do something help Hawaii's fledgling tourist industry.

 

I'm sure it'd be a logistical nightmare.

 

NFL cities build new stadiums every few years in part to hopefully host a Super Bowl someday.

because why should only Hawaii get the benefits of hosting a super bowl. thats big time revenue for a city.

Not to mention that they don't even have a NFL team. It seems that the super bowl is always somewhere that there is a NFL team.

I think putting a yearly Super Bowl in Vegas would cause inflation out of this world.

$25 would easily be minimum wage.

Its a fine idea. I think a real issue is that they dont have a stadium with the correct amenities.

I think the SB would be more fun if 3 teams played each other...

Honestly,  I don't know why Charlotte shouldn't get one.  Hotels accommodations might be tight but Greenville isn't that far and the weather is more typical of good football weather than NYC.

 

Why not all the teams get a chance to host a Super bowl.  The regulars (Detroit, Houston.....) do they share the revenues with the other 32 teams?  Probably not, so why not let every team have it.  logistics might be a nightmare for every city but any city with a couple years notice will figure out how to make it work.

 

Once every 32 years you could deal with the GB and Chicago.

That Aloha stadium is a dump by NFL standards. Playing it there gives the SB a permanent west coast bias, you are talking 4 hour or more time difference to East Coast and air travel expenses taking the common fan further out of the picture. I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I would love to attend a Super Bowl in Hawaii. But the stadium, hotels, logistics, etc don't add up. I really don't mind what we are doing right now. As long as the Super Bowl is played in nice stadiums I don't care where the stadiums are located. Let me take that back, keep the Super Bowl in the USA.

When I was younger I always wanted a Super Bowl in CLT. I thought it would be our chance to show how great we are. But the truth is the media has biases and if we held the Super Bowl they would just bitch about CLT on TV and Radio for the 2 years leading up to it. I'll pass.

Been sayin this for years.. I usually take the day off regardless, its pointless to have to worry about work the next day...
