Something Cam needs to work on this offseason

I'm pretty sure he threw four screens yesterday...

 

I saw the whole game too. He also whiffed 2 slants. And threw 3 of his 4 screens too high. He's been doing it all season. He air mails his slants because he throws really hard off his back foot some times. He's usually on line with his slants theyre just too high. His screens he puts em where the RB's have to make acrobatic catches a lot of the time.

Anddddddd this is way some of us cared about Cam's play yesterday. This is why some of us got mad when AJ dropped that deep ball, Cameron dropped that jump ball and Dez dropped the slant. Because we knew someone would try and use Cam's play in the PB against him.

Cam makes the pro bowl 2 out of 3 years and there's threads about him throwing the ball to high on screen plays and what he needs to work on based on his pro bowl performance. Cam easily could have been MVP if his team didnt let him down.... Again.

He .. Did.. That..poo..ALLLLLLL SEASON LONG... Where my dearest sir did I say oh he was awful only in the pro bowl so he should work on this? 

 

He's great down the field and intermediate. Crucify me for pointing out hes not so fuging godlike on short stuff :o

Yep. This is the reason when it comes to Newton, he must always and forever play well.

 

I mean, we had folks on here criticizing his game winning touchdown throws...of course they will nitpick a pro-bowl game (while forgetting --you know-- that he had to be pretty good just to get an invite to said game)

 

By this time next week we will have posters screaming about how he threw a pick and cost the team a victory.

 

And these are Panther's fans.

Nobody was beating Peyton Manning out for MVP this year.  Dude had an all-time great season. 

 

I don't think the team let Cam down.  In all honesty, I think we overachieved at 12-4.  I thought going into the season that 10, maybe 11 wins was our ceiling.  I would've never been brave enough to predict 12 wins, especially after starting out 1-3.  We had a patchwork secondary, patchwork OL outside of Gross and Kalil, and a patchwork WR corps.  With the hard salary cap, every team has some weaknesses, but you don't usually see a team that has significant weaknesses across three units go 12-4.

I meant MVP for the pro bowl. Yeah Manning's a lock for league MVP forsure.
