First job post-grad trying to figure out what my taxes will be in NC...

I've lived in SC my entire life but unfortunately my job is going to be too far away to hop the border like my parents did all these years. I know it's different for everybody but I'm just looking for some anecdotal evidence from other guys/girls in the same position.

My job looks to be providing around 4600 dollars a month. I'm trying to live frugally to pay off student loans(not a large amount fortunately) and build investments quickly. I'm also not sure how soon I'll have to support my parents depending on how straight their finances and health are.

When I do simple calculations it looks like my take home pay just from taxes will be about 3200 to 3400 dollars a month. Does that sound about right?

I hopefully can remain living as modestly as I do now,  but I'd love to hear that the gubment isn't taking as much of my paycheck as I'm estimating!
