Nobody is talking DE in the first?

We have seen about as much out of Alexander as we did out of Hardy prior to him moving into a starter role.  I'm good with who we have (including the DE rotation) even if Hardy is gone.

I had the same thought, but my buddy explained that Hardy and CJ is a hard lineup to crack.  I explained that Alexander and Addison came in on passing downs a lot and moved inside or Hardy moved inside.  He explained that Alexander often was used in stunts to free Hardy.  He said that I needed to watch games again and pay attention to what the 3rd DE actually does.  I never did what he suggested, just took his word for it.  He is usually right about football.

I'd much prefer gambling on Ethan Westbrooks out of the DII ranks in the later rounds than try to replace Hardy in the first two or three rounds. I know it was against lesser talent, but this kid has an endless motor and is passionate about the game. Raw as hell, but if given time to groom behind CJ, he could be a Greg Hardy-like player in a couple of seasons. Shined at the Senior Bowl and a kid to whatch at the combine, for sure.

If we go DE, it'd be someone to compliment Alexander and Addison in some type of rotation. Also, hopefully someone who can slide to the inside.

You're talking about Easley right now. He wouldn't compliment very long though, which is perfectly fine.
