Mike Mitchell - 4 years, 12 mil (3 guaranteed)

Captain Munnerlyn - 3 years, 7.5 mil (1.5 guaranteed)

Quintin Mikell - 1 year, 650K (70K guaranteed) basically the same as this year

Chris Scott - 1 year, 495K (ERFA Tender)

Jeff Byers - 1 year, 570K (ERFA Tender)

Restructure:

Charles Johnson - 16,420,000 cap hit down to 12,420,000 (net of 4 mil)

Ryan Kalil - 10,400,000 cap hit down to 7,478,759 (net of ~3 mi)

Love it!

Love the Nicks and Tillman pickups.
Love the Hardy trade.
Love the "David Yankey" pick; "BOLD" pick! (been waiting to see if anyone would bring up his name)
Love the Purifoy and Hurst pickups.

Love the Landry and Reynolds picks, but I dont think they're going to be there.

You should really think about cutting Dwill too. It would help save some money.

I just dont think Michael Bennett is going to take that 2 mil guaranteed and that contract for Nicks is pretty huge.

Great mock.

Pretty nice

Only theoretical change i might suggest is to get a WR at the top of the second and go CB at the end of 3, especially since we are primarily zone and don't need to overdraft a press guy.  Now, if we were set at WR, I am good, but alas....

I really have no clue what Bennett's value is but I think we could get him in the ballpark of what is above.

Nicks is going to get a decent sized contract. I think around 6 mil per year is likely.

I think that Bennett just earned a long term contract around 6-7mil/yr, and at least 8-12 mil guaranteed after what he did this season.

The Nicks deal is realistic. He's going to get at least 6 mil/yr. I just cant see Gman giving that 4 yr deal tho. Probably 1-2yr.

I like Yankey and the FA ideas you have but Bennett and Tillman at those salaries are pushing it.

Not a fan of any WR additions here.  Not saying they aren't improvements but that WR unit would be:

Smith

Nicks

Ginn

Landry

Hixon

Neutz

Not that different than this year.

Oh, it's a big difference.

Nicks is an upgrade over any receiver we had this past season, and I think that Landry can have a big impact in the slot.

Would like to see a top-tier WR drop to us in rd 1 but DG likes the mollies.  If it is OL in rd. 1, it needs to be an OT that is an immediate upgrade over Bell.  Bell can move inside.  I just rewatched the 49ers game and our OGs got no push at the goal line.  Wharton made the tackle on Tolbert.

Gross will cost more than that.  He is an All-Pro LT.  He will give us a discount ... but I doubt that much.

    • The coach- Canales was a rookie hc and at times looked like it. But he did manage to revamp the offense, helped Bryce not look like the biggest bust of the draft, exuded positivity,  and made the panthers watchable again. We have a viable head coach for the first time since rivera The gm- Morgan had some hits and some big misses. Hits- the ol, Coker, demani, dj at first. Misses- almost every d player signed, brooks, the jury is out on x. I get what he was trying to do with brooks/Hubbard but it blew up in his face. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes. But he did trade mingo for a 4th, managed to get a 2nd rounder this year from the Rams and I am a fan of constantly churning the bottom of the roster The draft- x can be a solid player but not until he catches the ball, brooks was a high risk pick that didn't work out, Wallace, demani and Chau Smith can be solid contributors and showed glimpses, Coker and jt should be mainstays. And flipping a 7th round lb that was about to be cut for Jackson was a great move.  The offense- had its ups and downs but Bryce has turned from one of the biggest busts in nfl history to a potential franchise qb, that change is worth its weight in gold, thielen was crafty and underrated as usual, Coker was a gem, jt was the solid but has some growing to do, and Hubbard has been awesome, the o line was much improved as well The defense- well...they set records, injuries, poor coaching (imo), bad playcalling and just plain sucking this defense needs everything to change, we need horn and Jackson back and we get brown back but we need bodies and an identity. If they can do with the def what they did with the o then we can challenge for the division bc we already have some pieces there.  Overall- this was a growth year full of questions and some of the major ones were answered(qb, coach). For the first time in a long time the season didn't end depressingly and I do have cautious optimism for next year. But they need to learn from the mistakes of 2024 and if they do I like where this team is headed. On to the draft and 2025
    • I disagree. It’s not hard to double a WR and still play the run. It’s called a bracket which you can use with a drop down safety or an OLB. Look up how it’s done. Also in obvious passing situations, doubling a wr is not hard. Falcons torched us in obvious passing situations time after time. 2 min drill, 3rd and long to where there’s no excuse to not focus more on Drake London. Mooney was out. London was the only WR Penix was looking at.  Evero simply can’t make adjustments. He’ll most likely be fired next year. Wish we would’ve just ripped the bandaid off this year. To call all people morons who think we can do better than Evero is a very ignorant and arrogant statement. Who the hell are you?
    • As a rookie head coach, I think he exceeded expectations.  We looked competitive in almost all our games.  I don't think he's hit his ceiling.  7 of 10 for this year.
