Crabtree really is a sucka!

Why immediately associate him with that? It's embarrassing even reading this garbage, thug this, thug that. It was Kaepernick, now it's Sherman.

I think he can be be a bit of an ass, and arrogant (how many athletes aren't to a degree?), but he is not a dumb person by any means. He's a very smart guy, and he's no doubt talented. I saw the interview live, and I figured he would eventually regret it, but it wasn't that bad.

I should have started I new thread about Cam Newton learning to act like he has actually been there, my mistake.  Cam is great and I wouldn't want Brady, Brees or Manning over him "right now", but acting like a high schooler scoring making the referees first down call is embarrassing.  The superman gig...I get it...he's selling himself and making endorsement money by celebrating like a WR but it is not necessary.  I think Rodgers looks like a douche with his "discount double check" celebration too.  It's not a race thing.  It's a leader and winners mentality thing.  It's the NFL, not Pro Wraslin.....it's simply tacky.

Brady throwing a fit because of a call.....I have no problem with.  Brees protecting his teammates during the bounty scandal...I have not problem with.  Why? Because their actions are for the betterment of the team.  What does pretending to be a superhero or referee do for the team?  Notta.

Back to Sherman.  He is a thug and extremely insecure because he believes that his play on the field is not enough and demands respect by smearing another player and calling him a sorry player on national TV.  Sherman will be another washed up corner in 2 years, because one thing is for sure....top CBs do not last long in the NFL.  He will be just a loud mouth in a couple years.

Lol what?  Please explain what you mean by "thug"?  In what way is he "thuggish"?  When was the last time he was arrested, accused of rape, or outted for sending dick pics to female support staff?  It's even more of a reach to call him insecure.  He was targetted fewest or second fewest times in the league (out of all CBs) and yet he still led the league in picks.  His play really does speak for itself....even if his confidence rubs you the wrong way for some odd reason.  And no he won't be a washed up corner in 2 years.  You HOPE he will be washed up in 2 years so you can derive some sick satisfaction from the fact that (in your mind) the Karmic Scales have been balanced.

Ok.  I'm wrong to label Sherman a thug.  He is a preteen thug.....he hasn't reached thugdom yet....lol

"Preteen thug"? "Thugdom"?  You just can't let it go can you?  Apparently those fairy tales you fill your head with every Sunday, haven't shown you the Way, Truth, or jack poo about life.

I get that, and I've always said if you have to tell me how good you are, you aren't.

But take a little time to look deeper at both Crabtree and Sherman, what's gone on between them and their separate histories.  You might just find that things are not quite as they seem.

Doesn't matter.  Sherman embarrassed himself and his team.

Question.  Would you want your son screaming that crap after a game to an opposing player, team a local news reporter?

So.  Would you say Sherman acts like a "professional athlete" or a "thug" when conducting an interview?

As Tupac defined it, a thug is someone who is going through struggles, has gone through struggles, and continues to live day by day with nothing for them.

Sherman actions are enough to prove that he is the best CB in the game "right now", but his words show that he struggles for acceptance and lives day to day trying to tell everyone that "he's the man he's the man he's the man"  Why?  Why not just enjoy the stats and act like a pro?  Why does he have to tell everyone about it.

Why?  Because he lacks maturity and has to fall back on his childish understanding of what it really takes to be accepted and respected....he feels like he has to yell about it and say "hey look at me".  It's sad and he was embarrassed.  Why do you think he apologized?

I must be listening to a different media list because although it has been a hot story, 90% of the "media" that I have heard have been defending Sherman as just reacting at the heat of the moment. The vast majority of the negative comments have been coming from racist lowlifes who hide behind Twitter.

The only thing I really hear the analysts saying is that going up to Crabtree and slapping him on his butt and trying to shake his hand seconds after the man just missed out on going to the Superbowl probably wasn't the best idea given the way it ended. I'm not going to knock Crabtree for the way he reacted anymore than I would Sherman. I think most people if they were honest would have done the same thing as Crabtree at that very moment.

It ranked right up their with Colin doing Cam's Superman pose and then kissing his biceps right after his TD that the sports media kept showing over and over again. Not much felt that move wasn't right?

If those who support the 49ers can't take it, they shouldn't be okay with the team dishing it. Enough with the selective righteous preaching some of those in the media love to do.

This is still being discussed?

How much you want to bet that a far more important and serious story as Justin Beiber drinking, doing drugs and reckless driving will go on for less days than this foolishness.

This is what the media enjoys doing. Making a big deal out of nothing by opening up the public forum for fans to express their feelings about athletes who many of them a stone cold jealous of because of their wealth, never mind the other hidden issues those fans struggle with.

America is still a bit racist. We have a ways to go, but so does all of humankind.

So true! But in America, where racism is part of the fabric of it's society, folks like to act like it isn't a problem and their behavior is motivated by the actions of the the individual they are endlessly attacking. I see it all the time on this site with Cam.

That is one of the reason why the media pulls the same stunt with every black player in the NFL regardless of what the situation is...They know some will use whatever they hear and use it to hide their true colors. They then will defend their behavior by blaming the player.

What does that prove?

Sherman has never been there.....period. He has no class, maturity level of a high school boy and no clue how to win.

I feel the exact same way about Cam Newton. He IS a top 5 QB but he has not clue how to conduct himself on the field. The celebrations after 1st downs are ridiculous and the TD superman deal is childish and only invites other immature opponents to mock and make fun of him. You don't see people mocking Brady, Manning, Brees...ect. Why? Because they know how to win without smearing it in an opponents face.

It is childish.

Man please, Brady is a fugin whiner!!! Remember the Carolina game when he chased the dang refs down?
