Crabtree really is a sucka!

Considering that 99% of fans didn't know the story about Crabtree and Sherman's encounter until AFTER the game... Sherman did look a little crazy going off on Erin Andrews during the post game interview.

I love how Erin looked at him with this baffled expression as she asks, "Who are you talking about?". Sherman shouts,"Crabtree!". Like, "everybody knows it's Crabtree! Come on Erin, you know about Crabtree too. Why ask?" OK dude.... backup for a minute.

I think if anything what this really shows is the sort of organization that Peter Caroll and his front office have created up in Seattle. Carroll has drafted plenty of great talent late in the draft but tells these guys, "nobody else wanted you but we took you" and has all of them playing with a chip on their shoulder. I mean, that level of passion and desire to prove EVERYBODY wrong just grows and grows. The whole team has all of their players playing on that sort of level.

Just look at Sherman. He is without a doubt the best corner in the game today but he still acts like nobody believes in him. A lot of that is the team by providing fuel to his fire like the Crabtree incident.

The whole Seahawks team actually reminds me of Smitty and their pretty awesome to watch.  Even their fans are loud as hell as if they are telling the NFL that they may be way up in the northwest but they still want to be hard. What they have built in Seattle is very impressive IMO.

What does that prove?

Sherman has never been there.....period.  He has no class, maturity level of a high school boy and no clue how to win.

I feel the exact same way about Cam Newton.  He IS a top 5 QB but he has not clue how to conduct himself on the field.  The celebrations after 1st downs are ridiculous and the TD superman deal is childish and only invites other immature opponents to mock and make fun of him.  You don't see people mocking Brady, Manning, Brees...ect.  Why?  Because they know how to win without smearing it in an opponents face.

It is childish.

fuging dumbass.

I noticed you left out Rodgers btw.

Wow, that sure is some unique and original opinion you have there.  So edgy.

"I'll tell you, that damn S.cam Newton needs to stop having fun out there... with his uppity celebration.  You never see classy guys like Brady do that.  Act like you been there before S.cam!"

Yeah, Brady just throws complete bitch fits on the sidelines and puts his teammates down instead.  Let's hope Cam learns from this paragon of class so the media can rip him a new asshole the size of Jupiter the moment he does it.

what is football?  a game.  why do people play games?  to have fun.  just so happens this game has become part of America's entertainment industry and has billions of dollars absorbed into it.  that makes it seem more than a game for people watching or betting, but for the people playing, it is still a game.

I must be listening to a different media list because although it has been a hot story, 90% of the "media" that I have heard have been defending Sherman as just reacting at the heat of the moment. The vast majority of the negative comments have been coming from racist lowlifes who hide behind Twitter.

The only thing I really hear the analysts saying is that going up to Crabtree and slapping him on his butt and trying to shake his hand seconds after the man just missed out on going to the Superbowl probably wasn't the best idea given the way it ended. I'm not going to knock Crabtree for the way he reacted anymore than I would Sherman. I think most people if they were honest would have done the same thing as Crabtree at that very moment.

We're listening to the same channels I suppose, because I'm hearing what you're hearing.

I know we've got a lot of persecution complex on here.

Where you been? White people don't throw fits. They show passion.

Way off base, dude.

Newton has pretty much always been respectful on the field. Celebrating first downs and touchdowns? Loads of players do that (Aaron Rodgers for example). It's part of the fun of a game that's supposed to be fun.

As to the counter examples...

- Tom Brady is an utter and complete prick; terrible example.

- Drew Brees lost all credibility as a 'good guy' with me when he defended the bounty hunters on his defense

- Manning is generally a good guy, but he's had his share of bad moments (throwing teammates under the bus and such)

Sorry dude. I can understand wanting to be old school about stuff, but you're off target here.

Funny...the three people you have listed there were recently listed in the top 5 of most respected players in the NFL by their peers (they could not vote for a teamate). Think they polled something like 325 players or something.

Maybe not the most scientific test but it was interesting to see even if the results weren't surprising.

Those three guys together make up a total of 43 years of NFL experience. That's a lot of reputation building.

Yeah, it would be so much more professional if Cam and Sherman acted like Brady did after his game losing interception against us. You did see that, didn't you?

Or maybe you prefer Brees running up his stats in the last game of the year 3 years ago and laughing about it on the sidelines with his coach. That was real class too I suppose.

So Cam doesn't act like a banker behind his desk at work. He's a football player. It's an emotional sport.

Perhaps it is you that has the twisted sense of what is appropriate and what is not, or perhaps you have some other problem with Cam and Richard that goes beyond how they act. Perhaps it's time for some introspection on your part.

I did notice that all the "ideal, professional" QBs he listed had something in common.
