His football speed looked good to me on both the end-around and screen pass plays he took to the house against the Vols.

He wasn't running away from anyone but they weren't catching him either.

NFL speed is on a whole different level, but I don't see where this kid's speed is a liability... he's "fast enough".

The thing the really set him apart in my mind is his desire and willingness to prepare, even for a game like the senior bowl where it's not expected. That kind of work ethic is what really sets the great ones apart from everyone else.

I remember another guy who some teams passed on because his  speed wasn't anything special.

Blanking on the name...Jerry something...

I didn't want Alshon Jeffrey due to his speed.

I r idot.

I'd gladly take Jordan. Speed is the great equalizer but you can certainly succeed without it.

Alshon ran a 4.4 in the combine or at his proday.

He just had that fat body his last season at SC and that picture of him in the locker room dammed his top 15 pre draft buzz.

He's struggled a bit this week at SB week.

I'm not sure he's a first rounder. I'm not done digging into him yet though.

big bodied guy with great hands, excellent catch radius

He and Cam would do work

Get Crief in the 3rd and we could have the greatest show on turf

Yes, he has had a few drops.  However, he has the biggest hands of all WRs.   He succeeded at Vandy when SEC competition did not have to do much more than shut him down....Jerry Rice's cousin.

I'm not a huge fan of JM but the big knock so far is breakaway speed.

On the surface this seems like a big drawback.  In reality, and dependent upon the character and mental toughness of the kid in question, things like breakaway speed and elite size can become things that the guy becomes dependent on.  I know.  Give me the biggest and the fastest.  Sometimes a guy without the best measurables is the one that hones his craft and becomes the guy with the knack, skill, and want to that gets it done.  Ricky Proehl comes to mind.  Wesley Walls is another.

I am a fan of finding this guy later in his career rather than hoping his nifty-ness translates to the league and drafting him.

Plus, we need a guy that can stretch the field.  I'm pretty sure that Gett has all the info he needs to make a decision and for the first time in a long time I am going into the draft with confidence.

Surprise me on Christmas Morning Dave.  I'll not mail a wish list this year.  You know what I need better than I do.
