Is it? Is it dumb Growl?

Whats the matter Growl? You must think Potkins can change our offense Growl?

Growl....

Lets take a sec

And think

This guy has the IQ of a rock and enough drugs for Pablo Escobar to be jealous.

Facts only.

Growl, Have a nice day.

you know it's draft season on the Huddle when halfwits are making stupid commentary based on silly little league football biases or pitiful attempts at being edgy/controversial/blahblahblah

Watkins is not the best WR in the draft....

Did you watch college football or one team?

Denadre Hopkins is twice the WR watkins is.. do you see him running amazing routes? Do you see him jumping up and fighting for balls? Or do you see him catch curls/screens/trick plays so he can run around?

i have seen him run some amazing routes(post corners, double moves, verticals, drags, digs, post), and i have seen him high point balls this year. he is by far the best WR prospect in the draft this year, but every one has their own opinion.

We could use OTs but not Guards. Will still have a lot invested in Amini (2nd round pick) and drafting another one high would just make the Kug pick look pointless. We still have to see what we can get out of those guys first, we could use a Right Tackle tho but i dont think we have to draft one in the first round.

The offensive line almost never finishes the season together. Just based on what we saw in the past and this year we normally lose 1 or 2 O line men throughout the season and a few backups. The right side of the line is basically made up of backup players already and they are starters.

I think we should trade up in the 2nd round and grab Kelvin Benjamin in the 1st and Matthews in the 2nd. Put those two on the outside, Smitty in the slot and we'd be very well off. I think our o-line this season was good enough and we'll get guys back from injury too. Cam had time, guys just couldn't get open. Then take corner/o-line in 3rd and 4th and BPA after that. With those two receivers we could be putting up 21+ pts/game and our defense this year was near perfect. Secondary needed help, but our strong front 7 more than made up for that. I really love this team Gettleman and Rivera have put together. And I think we'll find a way to keep Hardy. Gettleman will work his magic somehow, even if we had to tag him.

I know they are back ups starting. I was saying we should have our starters back next year, they are unproven but we got to see what we have in them first because they were big investments.

Oh I know, it was a light hearted jab at his natural abilities, without the heart, brains and drive the athleticism and size don't matter. Matthews seems fully committed.

I got it.  I watched an OTA when Jarrett was a rookie.  He was running half speed, dropping passes, etc.  Smitty was all over him the entire practice.  I posted (here, I think?) that Beason looked great at LB, but I was not happy with Jarrett.

I met him at an OTA the following season and asked him if he was ready to step it up.  He was very polite, and he slapped my hand hard as he reached to shake it---I thought, "The light came on!"  and you know the rest of the story.

McNutt made a helluva catch on that ball too, coming down just barely out of bounds.  I wish he would've gotten more opportunities.

if i remember correctly he didn't get either foot in bounds.

let's not praise him for looking kinda cool while doing nothing.

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
