Apparently only white guys have "Never Say Die" moments...

(before a bunch people jump my ass, please note; this is merely an observation designed to provoke thought, not to provoke anger.)

I ate 15 mango habanero wings while drinking several 22oz. IPA's the other day.

The next day I was on the commode and felt like I was crapping hot lava. I was actually sweating. I managed to persevere and when I stood up what happened? My legs had fallen asleep and I ate it hard on my bathroom floor, which is cold travertine tile. I grabbed the cabinet door to help myself up and what was there as I accidentally opened it ever so slightly?

Baby powder in a travel size bottle.

I don't even have a baby. I sprinkled some of that heavenly powder on there and instantly got up feeling like a new man. Even my belt was a little looser. Talk about a never say die moment!

Edit: dammit I'm white so I guess I only added to the point you were trying to make, but yeah, uh, go Luke!!

great marketing strategy by the league.

They market what is comparably profitable, and that is not what the Panthers are.

David Newton has shown that we can get solid coverage but until we win a couple of Super Bowls we will be on par with Jacksonville and Tampa Bay in terms of marketability to increase profits. If this theory really is true then it opens up a new question, at what point does the NFL stop controlling the marketing aspect.

If the NFL starts to view the playoffs as a chance to shop their brand worldwide then it really wouldn't be too far fetched to believe that the refs are instructed to favor one team over the other would it? It seems that the more I watch, the more often I see calls on crucial downs in good field position that alter the flow of the game.

Offensive or defensive holding is fine as long as the flag is thrown before an action occurs. The personal foul on Mike Mitchell on third down, the personal foul on Captain on third down, and the refs interpretation of the 12 men in the huddle lead me to believe that the NFL has been showcasing the teams they want in the playoffs.

However, could be a ploy by the NFL to try to seem impartial. After all the rage about minority coaches in a sport dominated by the minority, maybe they are trying to show there are non minorities who play, and not just coach?
