I'd be shocked if any of them actually hit him, and I'd be surprised if he tried to make them miss a tackle either. 

 

I'm guessing when teammates end up in that situation, they'll both pull up and essentially make it a dead ball or the ball carrier will just slide and let the defender touch them.

 

Could you imagine if a DE blindsided the QB from their own team?

The question was whether they will go easy on Cam, to which I said they had better or Ron will go nuts.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone right now. Players are NOT going full speed in the pro bowl. They're looking to have fun and not get hurt.

you can't say that for all players. there's always some bonehead who's either got some bone to pick with another player or feels like they have something to prove. players don't get hurt every year, but it can happen and it does happen. anyone who really watched and paid attention to cam's first trip to the probowl can see that some players will play harder than others. it's just that the players who were playing harder were on defense and the ones taking it easy was the OL (and cam who wasn't taking the game seriously anyway...just like many there). we were lucky he didn't get hurt.

no kidding. freak accidents happen. if one was going to happen, i'd rather it be in a game that mattered rather than one that didn't matter like the probowl. it's bad enough that starters have to play in four preseason games with guys trying to make a statement that they should be on someone's roster. adding in this joke of a game that few people watch anyway....nah. i could do without that. and i could really do without watching them take/make unnecessary hits in a game that has no bearing on anything.

i think some want to embarass others and some will go the extra mile to make sure they aren't embarrassed.

 

not everyone takes that time on the field lightly. it's a really tiny minority that will be taking things more seriously, but enough that can make things bad for someone else.

Unless Cam plays QB..... then the D plays like it is the Super Bowl

If you have players in the pro bowl they need to be vets that get early work. Game too unpredictable late with younger guys. Unfortunately, Cam will again be the late QB....which is why Cam should of declined IMO
