NFL Commish may do away with extra point

Good, it's dumb... and it would save us from having to pause the "BOOM BOOM" song after we score a TD.

The extra point is literally the most anti-climatic moment in all of sports. You score a TD and the crowd goes wild, but you have to hold everything for a moment so the kicker can trot out there and try to get one more point.

I guess. But if it hurts the game overall then why do it. Basketball lost its luster because losing teams make the playoffs and mediocre teams make the tournament. Making the playoffs should be hard, that is why we love making the playoffs.

Agree with every word. But with an extra $20 Mill per year staring him in the face, what do you expect this corporate jack-off to do?

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
