Great article/blog by Richard Sherman himself

How else does a rational person speak to skip bayless? He was trolling him just like skip trolls his viewers

While that's true, it still made him look like an idiot. He avoided the question for 10 minutes and kept repeating that he was, and I quote, "better at life" than Skip Bayless...

uh, that actually was a pretty smart response.

A smart response to "I don't think you're on the same level as Revis" is "I'm better at life than you are"?

It's a sports talk show. As idiotic as Skip Bayless may be 90% of the time, Richard Sherman really did a wonder in making himself look even more idiotic than Skip.

Don't get it twisted either, I'm a big fan of Richard Sherman and I think he's hilarious and a character, but I don't think he should be viewed as some sort of genius with a cult following. Reminds me of people who think Charles Manson is one of the smartest people ever to have lived. No, he's just insane. Charles Manson doesn't even know what Charles Manson is saying.

The thing is...he is currently pursuing his masters degree at Stanford after having gotten his b.a. with a 4.0.

While that doesn't take a genius, it still proves he's pretty damn sharp.

Great video on Sherman I just saw today.  Really makes you realize just how damn valuable he is to that Seahawks defense and appreciate his deep understanding of the game.

I think he's also off to like the best start to a career for a CB in NFL history... yeah, even better than Deion Sanders.

If Harbaugh is such a great coach, why the fug didn't he draft this guy after coaching him at Stanford?  Surely he knew he was an absolute film rat and had an amazing understanding for the game?  Kind of makes me question Harbaugh, since he sort of inherited a stacked team from the get go.

I actually didn't know that. I believe the 4.0 GPA is a myth, but the Masters thing is apparently true. And I understand he's smart, you can tell by his MMQB articles. But he says some pretty dumb sh*t and in my personal opinion, it takes away from the facts.

I don't get the big deal. Why are these folks in the media confronting these athletes as soon as they come  off a field playing such an intense game as football then sit and make a big deal over their behavior as if they are in Church? Even more is who they always seem to make some endless drama over. Tom Brady curses and carry on during his press conference and nothing is made of it. Sherman gets approached while walking off the field and expresses his feelings about a player who has been trash talking him and those who seem to enjoy acting like such behavior isn't part of this sports, goes in on him. Not only is the usual hypocrisy as clear as day but to act like passion being shown is an abnormally in this sport.

Some folks act las if such emotion is isolated to certain players and the NFL. Have anyone ever heard of Hockey? Heck they are encouraged to always be fired up and intense regardless of the moment. Funny how much of their behavior never makes the mainstream media discussion and analysis. Hmmmm...I wonder why?

Also, I find it funny that folks will attack this young man for being so emotional by jumping on these various social networks and ranting themselves. What a  self-righteous we are becoming thanks to a media who know believes they should be able to control these players since they can't or no longer can play the game.

Since when was football, golf or tennis? Or is such endless pious behavior designed for certain folks?

Richard Sherman is just a fierce competitor, and sometimes he lets his emotions get the best of him. Lets not forget, the dude is only 25. I don't know if you can remember when you were 25, but for me, there were definitely some situations/scenarios that I probably would have dealt with differently today, and I'm only 28. It's crazy how much knowledge you can gain just by learning form your own life experiences.

5 years down the road, he's probably going to look back and say "hey, I probably could have dealt with Crabtree differently" or maybe that's just the person he is. As long as he lets his 'game' back up what he's saying off the field, I have no problem with Sherman's approach.

Now I'm curious to see what Manning can do against Sherman in the Superbowl. If Sherman is exploited, lets hope he can keep it real and give credit where credits due.

Sherman is now my favorite non-Panther. You guys know go and well if Steve Smith burnt a great corner like Sherman in the NFC Championship for the GW TD, he would act almost the same way especially if that DB called him out or tried to fight him earlier at some point in time. Hell, he punched his own teammate (Ken Lucas) in training camp.

And I have to laugh at some of the close-minded folks on here. What's with the those folks attitude? What difference does it make whether Sherman is educated at Stanford or the college next door. Even  worst is, what does him showing some emotion in a game that is all about being fired up and emotional have to do with his level of education. Some of you really need to come over to the other side and stop with the "those folks" attitude. Aren't we suppose to be ONE! Or is that selective also. :)

Maybe so, but unlike Sherman, I don't claim to be some sort of genius. Nor am I arrogant enough to say that I'm "better at life" than someone as if I was in 6th grade again.

Like I said, I love the guy, his heart, his entertainment factor, etc. However, I don't get the cult following that takes his word for being a super-genius.
