I don't think Sherman is as smart as he, or many other people for that matter, seem to think he is.

 

I've seen him embarrass himself in interviews and on talk shows, yet people pretend like he is some sort of genius.

 

How about that time on First Take when he went on to refute Skip Bayless' claim that Revis was better than Sherman, and Richard spent his 5 minutes or so on there talking about how he was so much better at life than Skip Bayless. Literally didn't even respond to the Revis comment until Skip basically said "Yo, this isn't about you vs me, it's about you vs Revis..." I specifically found that really annoying.

 

"Hey Skip, you never graduated from Stanford. You're not an All-Pro corner, you're not this, you're not that. I'm better at life than you. Blah blah blah..."

"Yeah, but Richard, we're talking about you not being on the same level as Revis?"

"Okay well I'm already better at life than you and I've only been living life for 23 years. Blah blah blah."

Sherman is a great player who makes it very hard for me to root for him. I think any chances for that ended last night and started when he tried to embarrass Skip Bayless (I think he's an idiot too, but there's limits). Smitty has never been that brash before

Smith has punched 2 or 3 teammates before (sucker punched Lucas). He's done more damage than Sherman has and probably will. Don't see how you can applaud Smith, then be all up in arms about Richard.
