Great article/blog by Richard Sherman himself

What is the reasoning behind people from Compton not being intelligent?

Looking back in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have said that. Compton obviously has the reputation for being one of the biggest gang cities in the world, but I shouldn't generalize for a whole population.

He went to Stanford, which speaks volumes of his character and overall intelligence.

i love me some richard sherman. if the seahawks were an AFC team they'd be quickly rising to one of my favorite non-panthers teams in the league.

They are the team I respect the most in the NFL (other than the Panthers obviously). I just like the way they play defense, and admire the way Lynch plays, and enjoy the spectacular catches their receivers seem to make on a regular basis to bail out Wilson. I know there is the whole PED thing, but that doesn't change the fact that it's fun to watch them play.

Oh, and they own the 49ers, so that's another big plus for the Hawks in my eyes.

I'll assume that this was aimed at me since I said it in my post... it was meant as a comparison to Crabtree who is decidedly NOT well spoken.

I actually like Sherman a lot. Reminds me a lot of the fire that Smitty has.

I didn't even see your post, just a coincidence and more directed at the OP. The thing is there's been so many racial microaggressions after this happened that my post could seem to be directed at a million different people right now.

Sherman can form actual words with his mouth is a shock to people... why? Cut it out with this bullshit.

While I agree the racial overtones are everywhere (especially on sites like Twitter), just because someone says a certain phrase doesn't automatically make it racial in nature.

I didn't see anything wrong with Sherman's post-game interview, he was fired up was how I took it... nothing more, nothing less.

I enjoyed his commentary on the link posted in the OP and his other interviews I watched on ESPN.  He pretty much tore Crabtree a new one and with what Crabtree actually had to say, that made him look all that much worse (Crabtree, not Sherman).

So either way, I'm still unclear... is the "cut it out" directed at what I said, or just bad attitudes in general?

What Sherman did with the choke hold was bush league (not that I did not enjoy it considering who he directed it at) and his post game interview was classless, but all the people in social media that are calling him a thug or unintelligent are pretty ignorant on the man because he clearly is neither.

Also, if the idiot TV people are going to shove microphones into athletes' faces ten seconds after a heated game then this stuff is going to happen.
