If you are arguing a point yes, facts are good. stating an opinion no.

If you read my 1st post I stated an opinion that Jake had Tunnelvision to Smitty. Then my Knowledge of Jake was questioned because the responder had posted figures to back his post earlier in the off-season. And then continued to run his mouth about my knowledge and HIS TRUTH. So I had to go online, spend a couple hours going over stats and figures to validate a simple post. And show the "Know-it-All" that I too can post figures to back my claim. Something I should not have had to do, and should not have had my knowledge of this team put in question.

This forum has the occassional poster like me and the then ones that live here. Those that live here think they have some power given to them by Jerry Richardson himself that they know more than anyone else. I don't claim to know it all. And I learn alot from the fans that come here. I am sorry I don't have the opportunity to hang out in the Carolina Huddle. Truthfully I can never get enough info on the Panthers.

They should not be called an idiot, stupid, moron or WTFever because "Mr I Think I Know More Than Anybody" disagrees with it and throw a fact or two in to back his OPINION.

Don't need to calm down cause I am not upset. Overreacting? I was basically told I didn't know what I was talking about because he post facts (MONTHS AGO) and I didn't. I had to validate my OPINION by wasting my time getting figures to prove my worthiness in this forum.

I have been on the internet long enough I don't need an introduction TYVM:D

DJ will do just fine. With Hackett out of the way. DJ will clearly be our #3 receiver and create some havoc. Providing Jake doesn't get Smitty Tunnelvison like last season.

I think (it's opinion now, see what I did there) that having a 3rd viable option at receiver could also open up the middle of the field, so that if a team overloads the coverage onto the receivers, now all of a sudden the backs are even more open as dumpoffs and King/Rosario/Barnidge should be WIDE open

You did overreact. Just because someone makes a jab on the internet message board you don't have to go blowing up, it happens all the time, and on this forum it is relatively light handed.

Also, the reason why your OPINION was questioned and why they ask for stats is because posting random opinions without anything to back them leads to nothing. It's basically spam.

Also 2 things I would like from your OPINION.

Do you not think that us rarely having more than 3 WR's would skew it towards Steve Smith?

You mentioned penalties. Did you look to see if any of those were thrown to SS due to the penalty? (as in a free play, throw it up and see if we can get something more, if it's not then the penalty yards will be fine)

The fact that our TE's are mostly blockers, does that play into your OPINION?

Just wondering about these as I truly would like your insight on these matters.

You are completely entitled to your opinion. However, you seemed to get real pissed off when someone voiced a different opinion.

You stated and opinion. Someone else stated that they did not agree and posted stats to support their view. You got pissed off.

Thanks for the support. But don't worry, he obviously can dish it out better than he can take it. After whining about being insulted for pages he ends up slinging insults much worse than he received. I would rather take the high road and ignore him as it clear to everyone but him that he is the one doing the insulting and throwing a temper tantrum. Too bad really. I enjoy a discussion when we can focus on the facts and reality instead of going back and forth with accusations and insults.
