Colin Kaepernicks post game attire

We have to stop throwing the word "thug" around. Jesus Christ just stop it.

Why?  Because you don't like it?

Say what you want about Kaepernick.  But, he is trying damn hard to portray an inner-city gang/thug persona.

Not sure why...but that is a fact.

That isn't thug gangster... it's more high school/college kid.  If you don't like the man don't blame it on his clothes.  He's getting paid to wear those headphones.

Cam is the best dressed player in the NFL post game... that hasn't stopped people from singing the same old story.  When you look a certain way, people will call you a thug unless you are perfect.  With that said, his attire is a little odd... but at the same time, post game and he just lost... give the dude a break.

Cam and a lot of other NFL players get paid to wear those headphones also. There is no excuse for him to dress so unprofessionally when addressing the media.

I dislike Colin Kaepernick because of the mocking of Cam during our divisional game. But more of it comes from me being in SF fan territory where I have to listen to everyone around me crown the guy a HOFer. Friends, coworkers, local media, sports talk radio, etc. The constant misinformation and adulation makes me sick. So naturally I feel obligated to remind these people that their QB is a glorified, tattooed The Golden Calf of Bristol clone with a stronger arm. One read, tuck it and run. So when he did the thing to mock my QB, it was just icing on the hate cake.

This doesn't mean I have no life or an unhealthy obsession with Cam Newton (I probably do) or the Carolina Panthers (I definitely do). It means that this team is something I care about and if you disrespect it I'm going to dislike you for the rest of my days.

I don't think Kaepernick is a thug or anything, but I do think he is an overrated, smug, aloof, asshole that lacks the humility needed to succeed in his profession. And I have it on word directly from my wife's friend that the guy is an arrogant douchebag when it comes to fans.

So yeah, not a big CK fan and as such don't mind watching him fail on live TV.

I couldn't have said it better.

He grew up in Wisconsin and was adopted as a baby by a white family. His HS GPA was 4.0. What is all this gangsta, thug and homies crap? I hate the guy but I have to shake my head at some of these posters.

    • lol Honestly, it might sound dumb, but I've had this idea in my head of a specific picture I really want to get with him since draft night. Basically I want it to be of the two of us sitting on the floor next to each other with the picture from behind.  Ideally it would have been with us both wearing T-Mac jerseys (and me wearing an Arizona hat that has block A logo on the back of it too), but since they won't have baby versions of those for a bit and that does seem like a waste of money on something he'll grow out of in a few months, I think I'll go with this that I've found on Amazon for like 12 bucks........ I'll get this made with T-Mac's #4 but then my Nephew's first name (which incidentally starts with a T, so I've already joked to my sister that she needs to change his middle name to something with "Mc" or "Mac" in it so i can call him T-Mac lol) Just think that would make for a really cool picture for me to have of him at this age (just over 13 months now), with the two of us wearing our #4's.  It's the type of thing I can absolutely see myself getting it printed out by Shutterfly on one of those canvas like prints to hang on my wall. And seeing as they live in NYC with me in Michigan, not sure the next time I'll see him again as I can't just drive on down the street for a picture when the jersey arrives, so was hoping I'd be able to take advantage of seeing them at the end of the month to get this picture, but it would all be dependent on the jersey (and this custom onesie) being shipped in time.
    • Just wear another jersey and have AI photoshop it lol
    • His piece of the pie is only going to get smaller unless there are serious injuries.  Unless the actual pie becomes that much larger, ie Bryce being Kurt Warner, I don't think there's room for him to breakout.  Just like there's not room for JT Sanders to break out beyond a couple hundred yards receiving and a few TDs. I don't think a lot of people understand the volume that XL got last year.
