Cordarrelle Patterson is an asshat.

Wow. Turn off the WWE and step into the real world. You're not The Rock. This isn't The Rundown. The OP isnt talking about a random drunk douche from his Systems Analysis class. Hes talking about someone who surrounds himself with bodygaurds everywhere he goes and was also clearly looking to start trouble. You're not going to start a fight and "teach a lesson" to anyone. And if you think CP would even raise a finger himself, and not have his goons/friends/body gaurds do his work for him, then youre even dumber then you sound. If you're seriously going to try to fight every single person who looks at your girlfriend, makes fun of your mom, or calls you a name, ull be in the ER more times then you can count by the end of the month. Way to use maturity and take the high-road. But go ahead. Be a hero. Go pretend your Patrick Swayze and you show those bar thugs who's boss

WWE? And you call me dumb. CP called him out and I'm not saying for the man to attack CP only to defend himself and his friend. I guess he should also walk away if CP raped her in the bathroom too because its too risky to get involved. That's whats wrong with america right there. People are too worried about themselves to help anyone else.

Hell yeah. Can you imagine if Urlacher decided to fight Rutten? Man, he would have been humiliated. Brian was fortunate that his entourage knew who Bas was right away and told him to chill.

Yeah, would have been funny to watch Urlacher get his ass handed to him by Rutten... his entourage saved his life or at the very least his dignity.

If you're an adult then here's what you do in this situation... you have your female friend call the police and report an assault while you start taking down the names of witnesses. Then you inform Mr. Patterson that you have reported his actions to the authorities and they are on the way and you watch him and his posse scamper like rats.

I'm 6'6", 300 lbs and I was a bouncer in some pretty rough DC night clubs for 6 years... so I've been in plenty of fights and seen this exact situation unfold a thousand times (several of the clubs I worked in were frequented by both Redskins and Wizards players and I actually took part in throwing Brian Mitchell and Juwan Howard out one night).

The only way to "win" in this situation, even if you are a professional MMA fighter, is to do the right thing and get the authorities involved. There's nothing wrong with stepping in and preventing your female friend from further harm, but the minute you do anything to encourage further aggression you are putting yourself on the wrong side of the law.

It's not about being a "man" it's about being smart.

No way dude. Didnt you read the 1st page of this thread? You're clearly a giant pussy if you dont start a fight with CP and 6 of his goon friends. Also, if you get hurt "dats free money bro!!!" And I know the 1st page of this thread is filled with nothing but lawyers and smart-reasonable people! So dont try using logic here!

Its a win-win! WHEREZ DA LOSE OPTION?!?!

Those likely weren't "bodyguards". Just random old pals.

Also, it should be noted....most guys that act out in that manner aren't that bright and have a case of the god-complex. Meaning, they aren't bright enough to stay out of a mess and let others handle it. Which is why you see so many athletes acting out and getting caught.

But walking away is the always the right thing unless you or a loved ones life is be threatened. Poo talk in a bar isn't life threatening......it only turns into that of you aid in fanning a flame and turning it into something big. That would be you being a dumbass.

People who want trouble- find it. People who don't - generally always avoid it. Even if it approaches them.

I'm reminded of the "Road House" scene where Swayze tricks a guy into leaving the club rather than fighting him.

True tough guys don't go looking for fights.  Guys who are looking to prove they're tough guys are the ones who do.

Exactly. Agreeing with you 100% with the only exception being, I doubt CP travels with just "random" friends. Some are specifically chosen. But yes. Im sorry to burst the "tough-guy" bubble for every idiot on the first page talking about fighting. I should have let them fantasize their dreams a lil longer before hitting them (pardon the pun) with a hard dose of reality

Yup, it really is the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

Having said that, drunk Brian Mitchell was a load to throw out... LOL

It's a very long story that ended with him creeping in a buddy of mines driveway while we were trying to celebrate my buddy's bday (which we were kind enough to invite him to, but he refused to get out of his car) with two female friends of mine (not attractive at all) one of which was a lesbian and the other that was shocked at how he "touched" her. Honestly, I doubt you'd believe me if I told you the whole story. I barely believe it and I was there.

Well, take this opportunity to engrave it into the annals of the information superhighway for all to see and appreciate.  Let's hear it...
