Fox and the Broncos

Disrespect Fox all you want but that defense is playing pretty well in the playoffs considering it is missing it's 2 best players. I guess that is all DelRio's doing like many said in 2003. I remember Dan Morgan coming on this board a few years ago commenting about how Fox would step in, take over the D and they would start playing better. They slipped while he was away.

Peyton chose Denver because of Elway and Fox. He always wanted a strong defense and running attack. I have heard Gil Brandt call Fox a "defensive genius" on satellite radio. I won't go that far but the Broncos are playing pretty good D right now in the post season.

John Fox is the greatest Head Coach in Panther history. Wrap your head around that. John fox made 8-8 a bad season. Anyone around for the Seifert days knows how much he meant to us. Don't tell me John Fox mailed it in in 2010. The entire fugging organization did from Jerry Richardson to Steve Smith. Fox went down swinging, even if he was swinging at Hurney.

I'm rooting for Fox, he's a good coach and a good man. He took us to the Super Bowl and made us credible for a stretch of 6 seasons. He had some injuries work against him or we very well may have gone 2003-2006 with 4 straight playoff births.

Some of you guys hate your own players and coaches a little too much. Being a Panther should make you a Panther for life. This sort of mantra has served other franchises well.

Well say !!

And lets not act like Peyton Manning was delivered to Denver by a Stork. Peyton Manning chose to play for John Fox because he respects him as a coach. Would Manning have chosen Rivera? fug no he wouldn't.

Fox's undying loyalty to vets might be part of Peyton's decision. Hell if Delhomme,Fox, and Herney were still here, Delhomme would "give us the best chance to win" still.

Cyber, you and I agree on a couple things here, and greatly disagree on a couple.

1: John Fox is a good NFL coach. He is a conservative, defensive minded coach that players love to play for. He is not all that great about changing gameplans, or adjusting to the ups and down of a league year/game.

All of his deficiencies are masked when you have the goat in Manning throwing for 400 yards a game and over 3 touchdowns on average. It's the same thing with Dungy. Another one of those "ball control and defense" guys whose offenses sputtered in January. Dungy's winning percentage in Indy and Tampa Bay are totally different. In TB he was a little over .500, while in Indianapolis he won 3 out of 4. And then Jim Caldwell, a coach who couldn't win anything at Wake Forest makes the Super Bowl as well. Hell, if Mora stuck around long enough he would've probably been taken to the dance himself.

Say what you want about John Fox.  I liked him as our coach, I like him as a person, I was very concerned when he went in for the valve replacement, and I want him to go all the way.

Like others, I have stayed away from watching the sport channels this week (correction, I have been watching the Australian Open), but I will be watching today's games.  Like all of us, I had hoped that the NFC Championship game would feature the Panthers, but we may have to wait another year.

Finally.... STOP WHINING about the refs ....    We lost... period.

Nah, the refs killed us.

You're right about Fox though.
