Fox and the Broncos

In 2004 we lost Steve Smith week 1. We missed the playoffs on the last day of the season. I get it, you have the next man up mentality etc... But Steve was becoming the best in the league. Coming off that injury in 2005 he was the best in the league.  Had things turned out differently that year we would have had three straight winning seasons.

I'm not placing the blame for that entirely on him, but I'm just saying, it cannot be ignored.

in 2004 we ended 7-9...we woulda been 8-8 with that last week...thats not a "winning" season but it woulda been a playoff berth so its a toss up

One year does not a career make. He did choose Peete, Delhomme, Carr, Testeverde, St Pierre etc etc. not exactly an all star cast selected by the great Foxy.

My comment about QBs was in response to a comment about 2-14.  The first four QBs you listed had nothing to do with 2-14 and the fifth guy played one game.

I don't like Fox because he kept a chokehold on the offense, was wildly inconsistent and gave up in the end. If not for Manning he'd be doing the same in Denver.

The Golden Calf of Bristol laughs at your post.

Say what you want about John Fox.  I liked him as our coach, I like him as a person, I was very concerned when he went in for the valve replacement, and I want him to go all the way.

Like others, I have stayed away from watching the sport channels this week (correction, I have been watching the Australian Open), but I will be watching today's games.  Like all of us, I had hoped that the NFC Championship game would feature the Panthers, but we may have to wait another year.

Finally.... STOP WHINING about the refs ....    We lost... period.

BUT WE'RE THE BEST TEAM EVER! Cam is the best QB in history! Our running game is the best in the league! Our D is the best since the 85 Bears! THOSE DAMN REFS kept us from going 16-0 and the NFL rigged the Playoff game because they HATE the South and want a more popular team to win!

lol

John Fox has very little to do with the Broncos success right now, their defense is abysmal and Peyton and that offense is carrying the team.

So does that also mean Rivera has nothing to do with our D's success? And Cam is the only reason we win? Just checking.

I don't understand this obligation to root for John Fox just because. I wish the man well, he's a good coach, but he's in Denver.

I don't understand the reason to hate Fox. He isn't the main reason we sucked during his time here. The players and the GM were.

I'm not sure how you possibly got "I hate John Fox" from anything I've posted in this thread, unless you quoted the wrong person.

brooklyn bully's posting is the equivalent of white noise is how

it's just a fact that offense is not fox's forte and thankfully it's not something he needs to worry about now.  i don't see why his fans refuse to admit this.

pretty accurate...

anyhow, Fox was a good coach here.  He just wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread as some would have you believe.  It is what it is.  I actually hope he wins, for Peyton...
