All the time was a reckless choice of words but it happens often. Way too often considering the damage it does to the men. I don't mean to put down the real victims, i definitely don't make light of real victims. But you hear about this sort of thing frequently, a young man with College football aspirations spent 7 years in prison while the "victim" sued the school system for thousands. I'm not really commenting on this case because I am ignorant of the circumstances. But I am always skeptical. Of rape cases because of the fraudulent claims.

"All the time?" Seriously?

Yes, false accusations happen, but that doesn't mean every woman who accuses a man of rape is automatically lying.

I've known a few rape victims in my time, and seen what they went through. Most of them never said a word because they knew what would happen if they did.

"Innocent until proven guilty" is the benefit of a doubt.

"Probably just another dumb slut looking for money or to get back at somebody" is the kind of statement an ignorant asshat makes.

Here's hoping you never have the misfortune of someone you care about being a victim. It's a learning experience, the kind you really don't want.

People who pull s--t like that do almost as much damage to true rape victims as the rapists do.

This is a misunderstanding of the motive of rape. In many cases, most cases, rape isn't a crime of sexual lust. It's a crime of deeper psychological motivation. Especially a repeat offender, as this man has been accused but NOT convicted. Yes, there are times when lust plays a factor but in quite a bit more cases there are motivations that evade a surface level glance. Rage issues, problems with female figures in life, resentment against women in general, feeling of getting everything you want and as a result taking what you want even when it's not offered. These are all more common motives than simply trying to get laid. There's a reason rape is classified as a crime of violence.

Yeah because you can put everybody in a box. You have no idea what his motivation was.

Know what you hear about even more frequently? Actual rapes.

You can claim you're not making light of real victims, but that's exactly what you're doing. The number of false reports is an extremely tiny and insignificant number compared to the amount of rape happening in this country, and all you and the rest of the people who can't hear about a rape without calling the woman a liar are doing is making it harder for actual victims to come forward.

Not only are people getting raped, now they also have to get re-raped every day by people like you. Congrats on being a piece of poo.

Disappointing to hear. Trouble always seems to find those in the limelight.

I think we should becareful when generalizing all women or a lot of women like using rape accusations as a weapon against men. Rape is a serious and sensitive subject and most victims usually never come forward, just as victims of abuse do not either.

I hope that he is judged fairly and that the woman is also judged fairly.
