LED and LCD hdtv question

KillerKat

Recommended Posts

I have a LG LED HDTV. I have a friend who has a Samsung LCD hdtv. I've been told and read that LED tvs display a better picture. However, this Samsung LCD tv looks way better than my tv. I don't understand why. Can someone explain? =

I use hdmi cables btw

Samsung TVs>any LG crap.

If you want the best picture seek out a Panasonic Plasma before it's too late.

So the best hdtv is a Samsung LED hdtv correct?

the best mass produced, low end set? Probably, depending on the model. But plasmas are improving much faster than LEDs and can easily overtake them, if they haven't already.

The key is research. look for patterns in user reviews, get expert reviews from cnet and audio video magazines

the over the air signal is hands down the more true "HD" picture.

i got a 32 for my office/man sliver(not an official cave ok?) and when the channels programmed it gave both cable and ant. ant is no doubt the superior pic because it's not as compressed as cable.

i say that to make sure some don't over spend on HD gadgets that do no good.

Expounding upon HD accessories. The cables. Oh the prices of the fuging cables. It's really a huge rip off is someone's charging you more than $10 for an HDMI. An HD signal is such that you either get a complete signal or you get nothing, unlike analog where the signal quality can vary greatly

A company called twisted veins sells quality HDMI cables on Amazon and you can get a set of two for less than $2. You could even get HDMIs from the dollar store if you're fine with replacing them when they spontaneously fail
