Draft: Ideal position value by round

Better question is whats right with it. Your ignoring our biggest need until the 4th round? So your good with lafell being the number 2 next year and not upgrading the skilled positions on offense until the 4th? The fact that our offense was terrible is the reason we lost 2 the 49ers. With amini and kug coming back i dout the need on the ol is as great as you make it out to be. Besides its a deep draft in terms of OT. I don't see us picking a CB before round 3 at the earliest. If it aint broke dont fix it. And the defense is fine. All of our picks this past draft were almost all on defense i exspect the exact opposite this year.

I expect Carolina to sign a wr in free agency and re-sign Ginn. I have doubts about Kug and DG sounded like we'll draft a couple o linemen. Our CBs suck. Bringing in a playmaker in the secondary will greatly help the defense (especially when there isn't pressure from the front four).

Why would we need secondary in the 1st round? Munnerlyn is still viable and White made huge leaps in his 1st year. Mitchell is in his prime years and looked like a great safety. We could pick up a decent safety in free agency and maybe a corner in the 3rd/4th, but 1st and 2nd rounds need to be used to upgrade offense. Keep in mind that no matter how bad our secondary looked at times (which was blown far out of proportions), we still had a top 3 defense. All we need is a top 10-12 offense, and we can compete for a Super Bowl next year.

Yeah, ummm, no. Thomas, Dockery, Florence, Munnerlyn, Mitchell and Mikell face uncertain futures. Lester is raw as hell and doesn't appear like starter material, and White needs more development.

DB in the first round is in play. DT/DE could be a legitimate option in the first three rounds too.

Believe that if you want too. Cam has a big contract on the horizon and to think he would have no imput at this stage of being a franchise qb would be rediculious. Yes its always a possiblity but still unlikely and would be borderline moronic in my opinion. For us to Draft a safety? yea... Show me one mock that has us doing so.
