Second Chance Movies

First time I watched "Skyline" I finished thinking "that sucked".

Caught it again last night on cable and thought I'd give it a second chance.

Still sucked :(

But on the flipside, I know there are a fair share of movies I've seen that didn't make as great an impression on me the first time through, but seemed a lot better the second time around.  SWAT was one, also Dune and The Last Starfighter, and the original Night of the Living Dead.

What movies have you given second chances?

Too many to count...

A lot of it has to do with how you view things as a kid versus as an adult. The Keaton Batman movies come to mind. Thought they were incredible as a kid, then saw the first never a year ago and couldn't believe Jack Nicholson signed up for it. Still a lot of value just because of the memories, though.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was told by people that The Village was a stupid, horrible movie. I watched it the first time and felt it was lacking quite a bit. When I re-watched it later, I thought it was a good movie.

I am guessing you are a lot younger than me! But Jack Nicholson was a great joker....i rewatched Batman a couple weeks ago. He was brilliant in that movie....the cheesy henchman with purple and yellow cars, not so much.

I will also make the statement that Jack Joker > Heath Joker

You're not gonna find many takers on that notion.

Our old buddy Epistaxis put it well:  "Ledger's Joker was actually The Joker.  Nicholson's Joker was Jack in white face paint.
