Speculation on Hardy's Future (NFL.com)

Yeah I've read the options that have been posted, but from what I've seen none of them are fully accurate. It's not about what I agree with, why do you guys have to make everything so personal? Like what I originally posted, these "options" you're speaking of don't seem to be real options.

Can you tell me now franchising and trading him affects out cap?

Who is making it personal? We are carrying on a conversation here.

Yes these are "real" options. The question is whether or not we want to take them on due to the salary cap implications. I've been reading conflicting reports from different huddlers in regards to just how small or large these particular implications are. Most of these threads are within the first few pages though if you would like to look for them.

my favorite scenario in which we don't retain hardy:

Tag Hardy

Trade him for a first rounder to a team like the raiders, they dumb like that.

Draft Watkins

Draft OT or CB with our second 1st round pick

Draft that other position in second

BPA rounds 3-7 with a RB selection somewhere in there.

Profit

This is my whole point. No one knows for sure how a tag and trade impacts the cap. I don't. You don't. At what hit would a dead money impact be "worth it"? I can't imagine much of any. This is why I'm saying that's probably not an option.

You can leave the "just because you don't agree with them" comment out. That has nothing to do with it. I want the guy here. If not I, like you, want something in return. I just don't see it happening so I'm preparing for the worst.

When was the last time a tag and trade was used?

Way to back up your claims unsubstantiated posts from others and an opinion...

Go to NFL.com and look under rules and regs it's under the section "franchise tag".

Right...and way to have no idea how it will affect our cap. Keep promoting the "tag and trade" option because you obviously know what you're talking about.

If you are going to demand information, it would help if you actually had some of it yourself, instead of acting so vastly superior to everyone.

We're all just fans here.

You're always so funny. You do this every time.

In case you missed it I said I didn't know, I was just going off of fellow Huddlers who were supporting their claims very well.

You can't point to anything, not even posts from others, that show we won't have any dead money impact from tagging him even with a trade.

He can find the information he is looking for on nfl.com he is to lazy to look or afraid of proving himself wrong...

Good call....

Way to prove you have no idea. If you did, all you would have to do it say a number if it was so easy. But instead it's easier to make me the a-hole.

I can't point to anything that says there won't be any dead money impact to the salary cap, because I never said it lol.

How do I prove myself wrong when I said I have no idea?

NFL.com doesn't show "the implications of tagging Hardy on the Panther's cap". I'm quite sure of that without looking.
