Did Star and Short wear down?

Odd question... As two rookies playing D Tackle in the NFL for the first time Im sure a long ass season wore them down.. but Im totally glad we have them. They will be 2 great DTs for years to come.

Lets make this simple.

 

Rookies wear down and hit a will because they played 4 Preseason, 16 Regular Season and 1 Post Season game. 21 total games. That's like playing two seasons in college in one year.

 

in other words. Dem playerz dun gotta adapt to da longer seasons.

With a solid draft this year our future is looking Amazing. Now that DG knows Cam is his QB he'll take care of him along with adding to the already impressive Defense.

Mind you. now that they have a full pro season under their (large) belts, next year could be a lot of fun to watch.

 

This.  I have this childish hope that KK becomes the next Geno and Star the next Haloti.  Which may be true with Star if he just develops a little bit more pass rush.

Not sure about KK but I know Star played a ton of snaps at Utah, so the rookie wall might have not been as big of a deal for him?

They both played over 90% of snaps. This was the big knock on both of them especially kk. He made insane splash plays then looked like he didn't care. But that's what happens when at 300 lb plus guy plays that much. As the Purdue coach said about kk, " he has the ability to take over the game"

They had strong postseason games and have been dominant all seasons, so IMO no.

I'm really excited for the next couple of years for this duo.  I say the next couple because in 3-4 years, we get to contract time...and we know how much fun that is...

 

If we can get a similar production from Hard or his replacement(s), the 2014 season should be another fun, slobber knocking season!

San Fran's entire was pretty much non-existent. Hunter and Gore had their way with our Ends, who over pursued a fugton throughout the end.
