lol at the Hater.

Anyway, Dodgers start the Real Season 1-0 beating the DBacks Kershaw style.

Guess it was a good thing Kemp went on the D/L (big surprise) and Crawford was off on Maternity Leave with Van Slyke apparently ready to carry the load on Opening Day.

Go Blue!

It was a great way to start the season however my only concern was Puig and his 0-5 3 s/o performance. Gotta get on base as the leadoff buddy!

Not to worry, Miley is one tough cookie.

Puig already with 2 hits and a RBI tonight albeit in the 2 spot.

Currently Blue 5, Snakes zip.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Clayton Kershaw will miss his scheduled start for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the San Diego Padresthis weekend because of an inflamed muscle in his back.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner had an MRI on Wednesday that showed the swollen muscle in his left upper back. Kershaw had complained of tightness while throwing at a workout on Tuesday.

The team said Kershaw's next start will be decided by his progress while throwing in the next week.

The Dodgers open the North American portion of their schedule at San Diego on Sunday. They began the season with two victories over Arizona in Australia last week. Kershaw started the first game Down Under, winning 3-1.

Awesome, now Kershaw joins Puig with back inflamation. Nothing like sitting on a plane 14 hours each way to Australia and back eh mate?

Dan Haren with a gem last night! 6 IP with 4 hits no earned runs and 6 strikeouts. If he gives Blue even close to that on a regular basis then watch out. Bats still need to wake up, and keys guys need to get healthy, but this team will be a nightmare to handle with the rotation 1-4 and lineup once Kemp gets back.

Could be a slow start for the Blue though.

MLB has them and the DBacks going to Australia to play games to open the season.

I'm not too happy about this crap, that's a long way to go to play two games that count March 22nd, return then restart the season March 30th. That is some BS.

SAN DIEGO -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are hinting that their season-opening trip to Australia might have some connection to the injuries to star pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Brian Wilson.

They are not saying that is a fact. But they are not ruling out the possibility.

Pitching coach Rick Honeycutt said Wednesday that the team's shortened spring training and a long string of days with no games before and after the trip could have exposed pitchers to injuries.

Wilson said the nerve problem in his surgically-rebuilt right elbow could very well be a result of having a fragmented throwing program in March. He said he did not have enough time to get ready.

Kershaw, the winner of the past two National League Cy Young Awards, is sidelined for at least the next three weeks due to inflammation in his upper back.

Kershaw's back problems arose after making the Opening Day start March 22 in Australia. Kershaw made just four spring training starts and worked only 14 2/3 innings before the season opener.

fug you MLB.

Hopefully Stan Kasten will tell the next Commissioner that wants to do some stupid shyt like Australia to stick it up his ass.
