Can we ditch Dwill and Jstew?

You could make Williams a June 1 cut and not need to invest in the draft in a RB this year.

Cam, Tolbert, Stewart, Barner.....

While Williams creates dead money he would also create cap room to sign a quality starter at a position of need (a mercenary)

The only problem is that Stewart and Barner did nothing.  So you are left with a quarterback and fullback.  Then again weren't you the one advocating for the read option with Cam as a primary weapon this year.

The problem with our run game is NOT our RB 's...it is the OL.

The only issue with our RB's are the bad contracts they have

Is the OL really that bad? Gross is a stud still and so is Kalil, getting the guards back will really help. Bell is serviceable but nothing worth writing home about. Dwill just doesnt have the burst he used to, hes hit the wall.

Barner got 3 carries being ran like you would a FB. That means nothing about what he is or isn't.

Tolbert being the best RB is the perfect reasoning to make Williams a June 1 cut. Essentially trade Williams out and add a starter at a position of need (cut him and use the cap space created to hire mercenary).

Wiliams needs to take another pay cut or go. Stewart has us by the balls.

Tolbert would be a fine replacement if we were dumping Stewart but we aren't.  The problem is that the only guy we can get rid of  based on dead cap would be Williams.  Tolbert and Williams are very different players and not interchangeable.

Williams didn't take a pay cut last year and won't again. Why is that people think restructuring means a pay cut when it means converting a portion of his salary to a signing bonus not reducing what we pay him. All that goes down is his cap hit.

Of the two RBs, Stewart is the one I assume most would prefer to see go due to his constant health problems. Unfortunately his contract situation makes that a virtual impossibility. DeAngelo isn't the same guy who got 1500 yards, but at least he's always on the field.

Forget the RB talk guys.

Retirement by Stewart woudl be nice, but I don't look for it.  Injury settlement?

DWill can still play if the oline can open a hole or two.

But these guys are gonna get paid, period, whether on our team or not.

Why do you think we have been bitching about it so long.  Oh and by the way, for all the "double trouble ain't going nowhere" guys, from a couple years back?   thanks

contracts or players, i wish we could and draft kadeem carey from Arizona in the 2nd.

Stewart is my favorite player on the team, but I would be SOOOOOOOOO on board with anything that ended up with Ka'deem ending up a Panther.

I'm an Arizona alum and was hoping he'd come back to school not only for my Wildcats, but hoping that after another year we could get rid of Stew without as much of a hit and then take Ka'deem with the 32 pick in the draft.
