So the Corey Irvis Signed thread starter was false on his statement. Guess Irvin will have to wait another day. Jumping the gun on that statement a little bit.

Irvin's signing official; two released

As expected, the Panthers have announced the signing of third-round pick Corvey Irvin, a defensive tackle. Official word of second-round pick Everette Brown's signing hasn't come yet, but likely is just a formality.

The Panthers announced the release of defensive tackle Justin Kershaw and safety Anthony Scirroto to make room for two new signings.

Still pending is a deal with second-round pick Sherrod Martin, a cornerback. That is expected to be completed before training camp opens Sunday.

cor-V. corvey. not corey. corvey. god knows i have made that mistake myself. but once you realize that his name has a v in it it's kind of maddening to see people misspell it over and over again.

I didn't realize it until you pointed it out, thanks. I'd like to know where his parents came up with that name

glad that our new DT is signed, though. i'm looking forward to seeing cause some corruption in the backfield.

At least DTs don't have to be smart.
